For Christ sake let it go
Eff U. 🖕🤌 Lawyer Boy.

The truth, which we all desire for any fellow person, probably resides somewhere between the initial trial testimony provided by the questionable "victims" (many of whom might, or might not, have been previous clients of yours ) and actual facts from this and other recanting "victims" is far more important.

Probably not for you....you've already been "paid".

Do you not find it significant that a trial "victim" is recanting his testimony? Seems pretty significant to me.
It shouldn't. There's false testimony in every trial on both sides. This also has zero impact on the other counts which is why anyone who read the article comprehends this isn't getting Sandusky a new trial.
We know the truth...he's a pedophile. Nothing else matters.

Not sure why this needs explained but members of our fan base incorrectly believe that Sandusky getting a new trial would change how Joe is viewed. Joe handled things properly. Unless MM states he never advised Joe of a potential issue then the guilt or innocence of Sandusky remains irrelevant in the court of public opinion. People either accept Joe met his legal obligation (as he did) or they believe he should have done more due to his power and influence.
This isn't about Sandusky...never has been

Yes. Very significant. What about the other 53 victims?
I sure don't remember there being that many at trial.

I remember Victim 1, who changed his story a million times, and whose therapist alleged in Victim 1's book that the Philadelphia Eagles were in on Sandusky's crimes. Hahaha, call me skeptical.

I remember Victim 2, who didn't even testify at trial and is on the record vehemently denying anything ever happened with Jerry. And the witness to the Victim 2 incident has since told several people he never witnessed sexual abuse. Call me skeptical.

I remember Victim 3, who initially claimed Jerry never did anything to him and told police "I hope he is found not guilty."

I remember Victim 4, who denied any inappropriate behavior by Sandusky, until investigators falsely told him that 9 other kids are alleging abuse.

I remember Victim 5. and if you believe his story, you would have to believe his abuse occurred in a locker room which no longer existed at the time of abuse. But I guess that's just details. Call me skeptical.

I remember Victim 6. He never even alleged sexual abuse. Yet Jerry was found to have sexually abused him. Odd.

I remember Victim 7. who when initially contacted by investigators praised Sandusky and the Second Mile and said nothing inappropriate ever happened to him. Then he underwent repressed memory therapy...call me skeptical.

I remember Victim 8. Actually, no I don't. He was never identified. A date was never given for the incident. And the "witness" never even testified. Call me skeptical.

I remember Victim 9, whose accounts are so laughably absurd you would have to be the most gullible person on the planet to believe them.

I remember Victim 10, who is now saying he made all of his allegations of abuse up, and Jerry did nothing to him.

Free Jerry.

I 100% agree with you that Joe handled this situation properly and what happens to Sandusky has nothing to do with Joe's legacy. However, you or I will never convince the others that Joe did the right thing.

Ever since 2011, there is one certainty in this entire affair:

Those who are the most ignorant, the least informed, and have the dumbest, most conflicted, most non-sensical, most "offensive to intelligence and reason" hot takes will always be:
The ones espousing those hot takes in the most obdurate, repetitive, obstinate, certain, absolute, and contradictory manner.

Some things never change.
Every bit as true today as it was 15 years ago.

You are FOS. I'll bet Sandusky is far more interested in getting out of jail than how Joe is viewed.

There are at least 5 subplots one should consider when addressing the Sandusky "Scandal."
1, The Corbett/Spanier issues
2. The significant incest between members of the BOT their families and corporations
3. McQueary was completely compromised
4. The Surma Family's desire to "destroy the rat."
5. Perhaps the biggest circumstance to overcome, fortunes were made (not just by the claimants) but lawyers and business people who sold investments and big ticket items to the neo rich (and stupid).

To add to the accuser who now recants:
Prosecutors were censured
Judges were removed, reassigned and retired
PSU's general counsel was sanctioned
Corbett was retired by citizens of The Commonwealth
Jonelle Eshbach couldn't get elected dog catcher
