LZ (0) Fremd (13) halftime

I don’t think they have a qb that can throw it seems. Neither team looking great. Lz with multiple fumbles running the veer/midline. One scoop and score for Fremd and another fumble by lz inside their 20. Fremd offense not doing much either
LZ with their best drive of the night. Two 15 yard penalties by Fremd after Fremd surprisingly went for it on 4th down at midfield.
And yet, they can still just have fun this season and still make the playoffs!
I focused on other games after the scoop and score. Seems I made the right call
If LZ did not run any offense in the first half the score would have been 6-0 at half. The LZ defense is solid. Fremd is a solid team not like last year with that D1 QB but still pretty good. But no idea what you do with that LZ offense and scheme.
I really can’t believe how bad LZ offense was. They ran midline and veer all night and didn’t gain more than a yard or two. All they threw was 5 yard outs off of boot.
I was one of the last people to accept the spread offense (I am old) but now I am starting to believe. Last year by the end of the year LZ’s spread offense was really clicking and they basically had Naz beat and were heading to the semis. But this 1940’s style veer/midline offense . . . Ouch!
It works for Cary Grove. They run the same offense so it works.
If I were to guess LZ doesn't have a qb that can throw well enough. Dragan is a good offensive mind, I'm sure he will fix things.
Yeah. The same CG that has won 4 state titles with it. I like that you're taking one game vs. the 20 years of highly successful seasons. Im not a CG fan either but give credit where credit is due.
I was joking it’s near impossible to discredit that program. Point remains that any system works when you have the players and no system is immune to bad personnel
Agree with that, and that is the issue. I don’t care if you can throw a perfect spiral 60 yards in warmups. You need to be able to handle the football in traffic and be super athletic first (and run well and make great decisions) in that offense.
We need a streaker! Funny thing is, that guy is likely in his early 30s and is a father at this point!
Fun story about the one with the pizza boxes at Fremd. Legend has it that the mom was in the stands during the game. She's dying laughing like the other 4,000 people when her phone starts ringing and it says PPD. She starts yelling "whaat, NO NO NO, tell me youre joking!!"
