How many showers do you take each day?

I was reading a Reddit thread this weekend and it seemed the overwhelming majority showered daily, but only once. The big debate was morning or before bed. Some even said 4-5 times a week is typical.

I have showered at least twice a day since college. When I first get up and before bed, minimum. Is this the outlier position?

every night

I used to be a morning showering person until about two years ago, now I prefer always sleeping after a good hot shower

I shower at night before bed.

Used to shower every night before bed. However with 2 little ones in the house and getting them out to bed, it’s down to every other night. Unless of course I’m sweaty or dirty from doing stuff outside. Then it’s an automatic shower after coming inside.
Now I do sit on my butt most of the day at work, so I don’t feel I need a shower every day.

I hate showering before bed bc I get so hot when I'm trying to fall asleep. I only do when I've been out getting real sweaty (yardwork, gardening, exercise)

yeah I try to shower and hour or two before bed for that reason

I should also mention in the winter I don't shower every day until I have sweat alot, it dries out my skin too much

Every day at least once. More if I get dirty or sweaty. And I wash my hair every day.

Youtube and Instagram have convinced my daughters that it's bad to wash your hair every day. I think it's disgusting to do otherwise.

1x in the mornings. If I were to shower at night, I'm likely to sweat during the night at some point, and undo that cleanliness. Might not shower over the weekend, unless I get particularly gross, or if I'm going somewhere that I'll be around other people.

Every morning.

I live in Florida, so a lot of activities during the day require a second shower later.
Beach, golf, softball, fishing, kayaking, yardwork, car washing, etc.

As a former HORT poster, I could hire a poor to do some of the chores, but I actually enjoy doing them because it reminds me of how I started, and I get satisfaction from doing it.

Once in the morning everyday, and then if I workout or swim, after that as well.

everyday before work*

evenings and weekends, as needed based on sweatiness/grossness (varies by the season)

*if i take a weekday evening shower, usually just a morning hair wash to get rid of bed head

Normally once a day. COVID kind of changed that as sometimes when I WFH and don't have any meetings or anything to do after, I may just go all day in the clothes I slept in.

Morning shower is preferred as I feel groggy if I have actual things to do that require I shower first.

Atleast twice usually 3-4

Morning, Night for sure.

Usually post work out and often a cleaning off from doing something outside.

Before being fully remote work, once in the morning and then typically after lunch hour workout. Now it is just after lunch hour workout, and if I don't work out, have to admit there are days I won't shower that day. Don't think I have gone more than 2 days though in years.

Every morning, after my two cups of coffee and after my morning poop. Also after if I have sweated doing something like a work out / yard work….though yard work is often handled by a jump in pool method.

I usually shower once a day - the timing depends on what I am doing that day.
If I am working from home and have to get the kids moving and out of the house in the morning, I will usually shower over lunch.
If I have something going on in the evening, I might delay it until after work.

This is all predicated on a normal day. If I get abnormally gross, I will shower a second time. If I know I will get abnormally gross on the weekend, I will not shower beforehand.

Every morning when I wake up, and every evening after my workout. I have a bad back so the shower in the morning helps get rid of that pain throughout the day.

I don't function in the am until I shower and have coffee. Then, if I go out to mow and do yardwork etc, I come back in and shower again. Otherwise, once a day.

Depends heavily on the day's activities.

If Im just WFH and not doing work outside, likely shower every other day.
If Im working outside, I may end up swimming multiple times a day and then a show at the end of the day.

I will shower in the AM if the day requires I hit the ground running vs a sit around and sip coffee slow launch. But I am generally a shower at night person.

A lot also depends on how heavy the humidity is and how oily I feel, it's also why I rarely use lotion.

Depends on where you live, what you're doing and the season. When I lived in FL? 1-2 times a day.
WFT in CA? Less than once a day.
Also, I stopped washing my hair every shower and it's helped my 'dandruff'. I rinse it every time, but only put shampoo on it a couple times a month. Scalp is much happier. Of course, I keep my hair clipped pretty short so it's not like I have a lot of hair to care for.

I hate to say, it but it's probably an outlier position.

I'm in the same group though. To me, it makes more sense to shower in the evening so that you are clean around the house before bed and while sleeping if you are only going to do one or the other. BUT, I love a good shower in the morning... it gets me going and starts the day right.

AND gross but true. Coffee gets my digestive action going if you know what I mean. So after my coffee, I hang out for a few minutes, take care of some buisness in the toilet, then take a shower. Nice and clean to start the day.

Of course, I'm kind of weird. YEARS ago my daughter was watching this kids show called Victorious. One of the characters on the show had a marionette that insulted him on the regular. This time he told his owner (Robbie, I think) that he was crazy b/c he put on his shoes in sock, shoe then sock shoe instead of the way everyone else does... sock, sock, shoe, shoe. My daughter went balistic because I'm a sock, shoe, sock shoe guy too. She's in college now and still gives me grief about it.

Morning always and evening if it calls for it. I dont know how people start their day without a shower. I feel blah until I do.
