CC and Mitchell are an amazing tandem at guard. And Boston, the starting center, who did not play last night, is very good too. They didnt miss her.

Mitchell also scored 30 points, in like the 10th game in a row she had 20 or more, but the so silly NY Post didnt mention her, cause covering the game was not the reason for that article. Papers like the post inflame the situation while racheting up the crazies. (I read the post too, at least most articles are free.)

I watched a lot of the game. Fever play good basketball. Based on the game, Mitchell is mentioned in the girst paragraph, and not sure carrington is mentioned once.

But as long as the players ratchet up the non-basketball stuff, it’s going to get press. Between Carrington and Clark jawing at each other and then Cloud “going after” Enes Freedom while her teammates had to hold her back…like she was really going into the stands because of his tee shirt…lol. The league needs to step in and stop the childish behavior. The players are starting to act like the WWF. And yes, that’s going to get the media attention.

It was during a timeout and became a spectacle…total overreaction. Agree that the league and the teams need to do something, but either they have been silent or fueled the flames even worse thus far.

For me, I don’t pay attention to the news. It’s what I see and hear. I see Cunningham making an obvious statement about protecting young girls and love for all; I see a Seattle owner curse out two little girls holding a sign that said “Thank You”; I saw the Carrington “White Privilege” tweet; I saw the Indiana coach give an unhinged presser while preaching about love and humility; and I heard the commissioner give a word salad response when asked to define what a woman is.

The league and teams are pis_ing away a golden opportunity with the best players they ever had competing.

They figure it’s drawing fans and viewers. For a league that played in obscurity they are all of a sudden in the news. They are riding the publicity wave. Not something I like but there is a logic to it. Passion equals engaged fans. Engaged fans spend $$$.
