Amy progress is good, but yeah they sure make it sound more impressive than it is. 1 person on a cargo ship was killed in the past week from an Iranian attack. So it is not over yet by any stretch and a few drones could absolutely shut down traffic again.

I wonder what type of bonuses they are giving these crew members for hazard duty…I imagine many would not want to take the risk unless the pay was life changing (whatever than means given their country of origin).

Please double check your Math, Lucas.

The average barrels per day through the straight in 2025 was ~20 million. It was reported that over 16 million passed through the straight Yesterday. Another 4 million barrels passed through the Saudi pipeline from Bahrain to the red Sea.

I’m going to need to see a non biased source on the scrubby.

Per the linked article there is a major discrepancy between US government estimates and industry estimates used by the financial and shipping communities. Until proven otherwise I will believe the financial community over a government source - especially a government that lies as much as the Trump admin.

Is the Trump admin lying?

Gotta credible link for this claim? It literally says right in the article in op that flow out of the strait is still only at 20% of pre war traffic. Did you even bother to read it? Here, let me highlight it for you Harvard man.

The surge brings total traffic along the passage route to about 20% of pre-war levels, through which roughly 20% of the world’s seaborne oil flowed in peacetime.

The dumbest war you've ever seen America start has got its defenders apparently.
In before: You're either with us or against us, why don't you just leave.
Aw, the "Iran is winning!" Folx are big mad. So sorry your worldview was so far off (again)

You'll get a win one of these days, maybe (probably not)

Can't wait to get the uranium dust back and show that obama/hillary were personally responsible for their nuclear bomb program. The dem's uranium one scandal isn't over yet.

I read something in the India Times that said the current number is 9 million barrels per day so I don't know what to believe but that seems like an objective source.

I think another thing impacting oils prices in the USA is reduced refining capacity. I think this might be under reported. I read that Phillips 66 and Valero closed in California due to cost of environmental compliance. The companies blamed regulations while the state blamed companies for being irresponsible.

The state of California takes in more $ per gallon of gas than the refiners do. Far left politics are destroying California and hurting the rest of the USA.

Shut up loud mouth liar.
California-specific taxes and fees on gasoline typically total roughly $1.00–$1.40+ per gallon (or higher in some estimates that fold in more program costs). One July 2026 analysis put total taxes and fees (including federal) at about $1.61 per gallon.

The California Energy Commission (CEC) publishes volume-weighted data under the Oil Refinery Cost Disclosure Act (SB 1322 / related laws):Gross gasoline refining margin (wholesale gasoline price minus crude oil cost; includes operating costs + profit) was $0.92 per gallon in June 2026.

Take your L, drooler.

How much has this war of choice cost us so far in military casualties, war expenditures, rising fuel prices and overall inflation?
What has gotten better from pre-war days? What deal is in place that is better than the JCPA? What has been won Scrubbs?
