Oh? So when the Raiders were in the same "middle school league" as Shelby which was 2a and they didnt win a title , not ONE... But we are now 3a which is where you all won the majority (if not all) of your titles, are you calling them middle school league titles as well?

I think if the truth would be told here that the answer would be way more interesting than folks think and way different than folks think.

I will keep saying it....until Burns can get some depth, we are generally gonna be 0-2 most years facing Crest and Kings Mtn in the first 2 weeks of attrition.... We just dont have the numbers to play 4 quarters in the heat.

To your point, I believe Beaver said 137 Freshman in my sons class this year. My daughters senior class is well over 200 and it's a large class. I would not be surprised to see us drop to 3A next realignment. Union and Upper Cleveland had to merge this year for football. We have a great group of skill players this year and probably more depth in areas than we normally do but overall team depth. Nope. We have less than less than 40 on Varsity with JV players moved up. That is not an excuse, that is just a fact to your point about depth. Crest had players coming and going with ease on Saturday. Ton of players. Shelby and KM are the same way. Being the rural school is showing more and more unless some of these old heads will sell some land or quit voting out big chains coming to the small towns. It has happened quite a bit. They want to keep it simple and old school which I understand but you cannot have it both ways.

You can keep on waiting. Everyone saw the coaching and talent transition during that time. Isn't an excuse....was just a fact. Nobody pretended that SP was great when they were going 6-7. That last time Shelby played us in old 2a though.....you saw the change back. If SP would've played Shelby that next year to present you MIGHT have one win....maybe during that time. That's the truth.
Let SP be 2a for 30 years and see how many championships they get. Oh that's right....Shelby a town of 23,500 people...with one "little 2a" HS. LMAO....smh. Don't brag about the deceitful school goings on that produced that BS situation.

Nobody was happy we lost. That point was dead in the water the moment you typed it. You mentioned we have beat Crest and Shelby here and there. Had we won Saturday we would have been 3-3 in the last 6 meetings. We didn't. We have been more competitive against Crest in the last 10 years than we probably have in my lifetime. We went 15 years at one time before a Beam coached team ended the streak. He beat them once. Devine and staff beat them back to back years. Look at some of the teams the CC teams had. When we have had a load of talent we won the games we should have. We beat Shelby twice in the same year. We put them out of the playoffs just a few years ago. Anyone reading your post would assume we never win county games if they didn't know.

Go volunteer or apply and show them. I like the deflection on that topic. So from a fan perspective, what would you do? We all give the armchair QB opinion on here. We all make suggestions. Make yours!! Let's hear it. Don't run from it with a paragraph about who gets paid. If you cannot answer that then you are not just giving an entitled opinion, you are just a hater. Do you even know anything about the kids on this team?

You damn right we are excited. Football is back. We showed signs last week we did not see this early last year. We know we have a chance to make a big run come playoff time. If we don't, oh well. life goes on. We know you will come and remind us of our shortcomings if we do not.

Back in my day, we hated anything and everything that was black, gold, or said Shelby..... We moderately disliked Crest and really never gave 2 thoughts about KM. But then again, we won a total of 8 games during my 3 years at Burns and 5 of those came in Coach Greenes first year.

We beat South Point in 17 when you had one of your best teams ever. Then in 18 and 19 we killed South Point and you won in the Covid year when we played in the spring. A season we didn’t even play Crest. Know way South Points beats Shelby in 21. I don’t have a clue what your talking about.
