Is this new atop the board? I just noticed it this morning.

Regardless, is this the message that we want to send given recent developments? A Penn State discussion forum sponsored by beer CERVEZA. o_O ? How about something wholesome (and much better) like Starbucks? For f*ck’s sake.

😞

Yuengling wonders how they missed out on this endorsement.

The old Test Board was perfect for Old Frothingslosh Beer. (IYKYK, and if you've had it, you may be immune to all kinds of diseases for a century or three).

To answer my own question, yes, it is new today. When I grabbed my iPad this morning, I still had this board open in my browser from last night. No ad. I refreshed the page, and there was the ad. 😞

I still think that it sucks to have a beer ad plastered atop his board, but at least it isn’t draft kings, kalshi, or some other cash-money-burning horse-a$$.

Oh man, not a beer ad......how will you ever get by? I am so bothered for you and this insanely inhumane issue you are going through. Are you upset that it's not a domestic beer, a lager, or not an NA? I mean this site is a direct reflection of PSU which is in return a direct reflection of you and your coke ring......yet you manage to still get up and post this crucial piece of information. What a warrior.

As common "vices" sponsorships go, I prefer beer over online gambling. (Then again, I prefer Modelo to Starbucks. Nothing personal).
Not opposed to online gambling, it's just that we cannot seem to ever get away from it anytime our eyes are on some athletic event or news or story or whatever.

I remember sitting in high school Spanish class and our teacher told us about lotteries in Mexico. We didn't have anything like that in the USA at the time. I remember being in college and a kid took our pro sports bets to his bookie because sports betting was illegal at the time. I remember when legalized gambling was pretty much confined to Las Vegas. Then Atlantic City joined them and now it seems like every Indian reservation or horse track in the country has a casino. Now we have prediction markets like Kalshi where you can bet on anything.

It's amazing how things that were illegal because it was bad for us are now perfectly legal. Could it be that government puts money over morality?

Morality doesn’t pay the bills fund the investments.

Or maybe it's that it shouldn't have been illegal to begin with...

I don't know the answer to that. At best legalized gambling provides a level of entertainment for some people. At worst it's a deadly and addictive drain on personal finances for people who can't control themselves. Should we legalize all drugs? Where do we stop?

My point isn't a vote on what's right or wrong. It's just a comment that the government seems to chase the cash.

You think? It may be the only thing our leaders care about.

even when we the people vote something as legal by a decent majority, big brother can still say no depending on who lines their pocket in office. Texas is a perfect example of this just in the last 2-3 weeks.

Noticed it where? I don't see "Presented by Modelo" anywhere when I log on here. Are you talking about the Lions' Den, perhaps?
