OiT (2025):

“I am not going to say she hates men or men playing sports, but I will say she likes women and women’s sports better IE caitlin and soccer”

“…she is responsible for sitting back and letting Iowa football die and not caring , not sure if that’s cuz her sexual preference“

dude is off his rocker.
No kidding. Anyone who says Iowa football has died is wacko. I am a realist and winning 8 or 9 games a year is pretty damn good plus kirk has many 10+ win seasons in a very tough league.

At the time things were way bleaker if that’s a word. Iowa football was the laughing stock back then. Things have been looking up i will admit as of late. Gronowski might be a little hard to replace.

Iowa's offense was a laughing stock. Iowa as a team was not a laughing stock based on their records from 2021 to whenever Brian was canned. Iowa's defense was great, special teams were great, the hawks generally had a good running game. Passing game was crap.

Every single time. You come on here to defend every decision of Kirk and or the university…. Is there anything you disagree with or are you seriously a university burner account?? It’s very suspicious…
Not sure what all you're referring to, so can only comment on this thread.

At the very least, anyone can concede that they'll never know for sure that KF would still have BF as OC.

So, for Duke to go out of his way to insist as much, is clearly a dig at KF, which is clearly quite silly.

KF doesn't need my defending him. His career speaks for itself.

So, often I'm calling out the ridiculousness of fans. To take a position other than the staff's, when it comes to Iowa football, is ALWAYS to choose an uphill argument. And in the end, those arguments will never be able to win in football court, as they are challenging all of the expertise and all of the inside information.

As strong an argument as fans may have, there will always come a point where it is unreasonable to not give the benefit of the doubt to the staff, because WE'LL NEVER KNOW. Fans can make assumptions. While the staff gets paid very well to live it.

And that's pretty much always my point. Why are we not giving KF the benefit of the doubt? He earned it a long time ago.

I don't necessarily share the exact same taste for football as the Iowa staff. It would thrill me if Iowa ran the ball a lot more. But I don't have the inside knowledge to be able to claim that Iowa is wronging, as a football program. And I trust KF, and give him the benefit of the doubt, and realize that I am underinformed.

Why are we not trusting KF? Why are we not simply supporting this team? Yes, KF has his weaknesses and has had his low moments. Everybody does. So what? KF has always been well-respected by his peers. And has acheived a hall of fame career. Not to mention being a great representative of the state.

That's not something fans can get behind and simply be supportive of? I truly feel sorry for some of you, sometimes.

What's "suspicious", is not having the respect to give the Iowa staff the benefit of the doubt. And not having the reasonability to understand when underinformed

Well, we know what we have to do - get yards and points via the quarterback’s legs.

..Which is why I don’t understand Hecklinski NOT being our obvious choice going into game 1.

Lester is 10x the playcaller than Brian. Do you think Brian would have practiced and called a reverse pass to the QB grono in the USC game, iirc? no effing way.

Lester played QB, has been an OC, HC, and maybe his year at Green Bay analyzing the defensive side there might have really helped him more.
A rock could be 10x the play caller Brian was.

1. There will be little designed run this season. And other than draws, no runs up the middle. These guys aren't Grono.

2. The difference in mobility between the two is way overstated. Brown is faster and has a jump rope record. Heck has a better feel for being elusive, which is probably more important.

3. We've been over this

Crazy they showed the stats on camp vid on BTN and we actually run more than we did when Bri was here
Yeah, we are very run heavy in this offense. But the multiple looks we give provide way more deception than the O under BF. It helps a bunch when the opponent can't easily determine what play is coming.

If we trot out a quarterback that struggles to get yards with his legs (hence a huge benefit of “multiple looks”), I’m going to lose my mind.

We clearly do not have P. Manning on the roster - QB1 needs to be the better runner.
