Mitchell slots in as the starting 4 and gives us a guy that you throw the ball to when you can’t get offense going and tell him to go get a bucket, everyone else just clear out. Desperately needed a guy like that

Won't try to guess the numbers, but assume Momcilovic and Mitchell (Again, if eligible) would be our two leading scorers.
Truly think the biggest benefit of Mitchell may being able to move Milan over to the 3 full time. Should be able to shoot over MOST smaller 3s when getting his shot in that mid post game.
I think there’s a world where Kam starts at the 2 but off the beat it has to be the one everyone is saying.
I think anyone debating the starting 5 has mental issues. Its obvious.
I honestly would be surprised if he played more than 10 minutes a game. Unless he is fully healthy, he's not talented enough to take other guys minutes.
Who is the 2nd 5? That's a more interesting question to me.
And who is upset now due to minutes disappearing rapidly. Signing mom and Mitchell have changed the equation for several on roster.

Bingo. It really isn’t a debate to be had. The 4 spot was a glaring weakness and now it’s a strong point of this team. Mitchell is a an absolute beast.
Plus Wilkins can get buckets. How is Mitchell’s defense? Anyone know? I never paid enough attention because I never thought he would be here.
I think the best 5 are fairly obvious and have been named a few times but I do worry about shooting with that lineup. The only excellent shooter is Milan, Wilkins can be streaky and if he's off a night we could start the game kinda cold.
lol no way. Kam would get cooked by a SG on defense. I don’t know where this myth developed of him being some great defender? Maybe at Tulane but I sure as hell haven’t seen it at Kentucky.
They can cry me a river. They are all getting paid. A better question is who did we waste money on that won’t see the floor? IMO.

I agree on the first part, but not the second. Not my money, and you can never have enough depth (as the last 2 years have clearly shown)
It’s a fair question.
TBH, here’s where I see this as the resident roster continuity and chemistry guy on here. You worry a whole lot about continuity and chemistry for a roster, but obviously there’s a talent threshold champions must meet. People that saw the roster all summer pre-Mitchell all were pretty much in unison that this was a good but not great team with an Elite Eight ceiling.
I believe Pope must have been seeing it the same way and so he took the risk of potentially upsetting the roster by adding a star. I think it was the correct and only decision for a coach that truly wants to return us to glory.
Yes, this addition makes minute distribution a challenge and, yes, guys are likely to be upset. But at least now you have a *chance* to be special with this roster and you hope, as a coach, that you have the ability to get enough role buy-in from the right guys in support roles.
If these young men want to play professionally, they better get used to fighting for any playing time. The backups to be would be
1. Williams
2. Morton
3. Hawthorne
4. McBride
5. Kepnang
I understand ... but FIFTEEN (15) is a helluva lot of players. It will be f------ up to put your last five (5) in during the final 90 seconds ... like used to be walk-ons.
This is close for me. Wilkins is a baller though. I see him scoring 12-15 a game.

He’s just joking. It’s a long running joke that Noah is actually the best player on the team. Despite being from the 606, OSTB isn’t really a Noah fan.
