Ossoff is definitely high on my 2028 presidential list for Dems. Not enough left for me, but seems solid. As of now, I could easily vote for him.
Interesting that the Dems have at least 2 plausible Jewish candidates (Ossoff and Josh Shapiro).
In 2000, the nation didn't pick a Jewish VP (Lieberman). Although you could argue that the nation did pick him. Nor did they pick a very popular Jewish candidate in 2016 or 2020 (Bernie). Nor did they pick a front-running Jewish VP in 2024 (Shapiro).
Are the Dems ready for a Jewish presidential nominee? And if so, is America ready?
I think so and especially since he doesn't take AIPAC donations, in fact, they actively oppose him.

I hope you're right. Ossoff might not be my final top pick after the 2028 primaries, but he's definitely in the top tier for now, and maybe in the lead.
AIPAC won't attack his Jewishness, but they will attack his anti-genocide-ness (albeit not phrased that way). The Rs will do both.
This shows he is a serious candidate, in the tradition of dem icon John Edwards.

A Jewish man makes highly produced campaign videos that go viral and is frequently interviewed on cable TV. Pete Hegseth had a whole makeup studio built. Not a good look.

AOC is interviewed far more than Ossoff and spends much less on her makeup - yet looks better, especially her eyelashes.
Well, all I can tell you is I met him in person at a private fundraiser a few months back and if he wears makeup outside of a studio or highly produced campaign rally, he does a damn good job of blending.
Anywho, I'm sure this is the thing that will bring him down!
