Palatine 20, Kenwood 18

Didn't exist. Kenwood Academy usually has games on NFHS, wasn't there. The Palatine Varsity Hudl page had a link to Kenwood's who already had scheduled the Hudl broadcast, then the Kenwood Academy football pages disappeared from Hudl.
No stream. Pirates played well at times but struggled with kenwood speed. Qb Martino made some nice plays, and Pirate receivers had a handful of huge catches to extend drives. Pirates struggled running the ball against kenwood defense. Kenwood dt is the real deal. He stuffed so many plays up the middle.
I thought the Pirates were going to run away with it in the second half. They were up 20-6 after some nice drives and had gotten a first down on a third and long but kenwood punched the ball out and it was game on. It was 20-18 and kenwood missed a two point conversion that would’ve tied it. Palatine had a 3rd and long with 1:30 to go and Klipowicz caught a screen and went for 15 to seal it.
Best player on the field was Eliasz Egbe for Palatine. I’d guess 12-13 tackles from his d end spot and really disrupted everything for kenwood. Hes the real deal. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him move up the national rankings. @Edgytim hopefully you can watch him this season.
Kenwood is well coached with some studs on both sides of the ball. They should win a lot of games. I could see them as a quarterfinalist in 5-6a. That’s a very good team.
Congrats to coach Bobbit on his first career win.
