I can promise you from what I know, the dismissal was warranted.Don't know if this is the case here, but theft in a locker room could be one reason to definitely dismiss a player. That breaks the first two tenets of FTC - Family and Trust.

He was a high potential player, he enrolled a year early so it is not a shock that he was not on the two deep, when he came in needing to put on some more weight. I’m sure he got enough chances to straighten out.Not necessarily PS….Shelby doubts if the same action by a starter would have had the same result. Treat ‘em fair, not equal. The way of the world.
Forget FTC. It's pro sports. On field performance is all that matters. Forget that touchy feely stuff, graduation rates, none of it matters. Wins and loses. That's it. These guys are getting paid to perform on the field.
I don't care enough to find out what he did but unless laws were broken, it shouldn't matter. He wasn't arrested, so...
Trying to supplant Al as the 2026 Message Board Genuis leader with this take? This is professional sports. Unless he is breaking some laws like assaulting someone, then he should still be on the team. Hell, even in the NFL that doesn't really matter anymore.
When will Schiano break team rules?
Is that what he did?So hypothetically you think it’d be perfectly fine for a player to repeatedly blow off practices and such after multiple warnings? Talk about a recipe for creating awful locker room morale.
How do professional teams handle it? Because that’s what they are.Well, DUH! Those are public events involving law enforcement, so of course the details would have been known and public.
Because it's private to the team. If you get fired by a company, is the company supposed to publicly list the reasons you were fired?
No clue. But Richie said on the podcast it’s been going on for a while and the dismissal didn’t come as a surprise. All the TKR guys seemed content that it was warranted. Is that what he did?
Just because you say it ad nauseum doesn't make it an accurate statement. I think you're just a bit jealous they're earning more than you...lol.How do professional teams handle it? Because that’s what they are.
They aren’t. My golf membership costs more than they make. Which makes it a lot more than what you make lolJust because you say it ad nauseum doesn't make it an accurate statement. I think you're just a bit jealous they're earning more than you...lol.
It's funny if this was it...back in the day- during 1.0 Schiano assigned my son to AD to make sure AD made it to all practices, meetings and film on time. And if AD was late, Schiano jumped all over Kevin's ***. Didn't last too long because he wasn't putting up with that crap- but that was how 1.0 handled it with some guys. Even other big names- going into 2008, we had a couple of kids on draft boards going into the season and they were blowing off practices or going half speed during them and got away with it until they saw their draft stock falling and finally kicked it into gear.No clue. So no - I don’t have any inside info but common sense says it has to be something like that. Could be showing up late to practices. Blowing them off entirely. Skipping strength or film sessions. Any and all of these things are part of the rules. When you sign a contract - you agree to do these things and show up on time. Not doing them isn’t illegal, but that doesn’t mean a coach should allow his players to go to practice and train only when they feel like it.
No way it’s a practice issue because that’s something that can be fixed. And if it had anything to do with the law he probably wouldn’t be a student for long. My guess is he told some coach to F himself or was repeatedly disrespectful to the Staff. Thats the stuff you can’t fix. It's funny if this was it...back in the day- during 1.0 Schiano assigned my son to AD to make sure AD made it to all practices, meetings and film on time. Seattle just signed a guy out on bail with 8 felonies including kid napping lol.

Yeah, funny to see some nerdy kid taking an exam with Marco Battaglia’s name written at the top LOLman, you would get killed on the round table saying this lol of course you are right, many examples and let's not forget Britt......
I always found it funny Graber had a kid literally taking Willis to his classes, sitting there waiting and then walking him to what not. story as old as time
the only coach at Rutgers that I knew of who didn't take any shyyttt was Hill. He was no nonsense, absolute zero
and the professors were so anti athlete it was just dripping from the deskYeah, funny to see some nerdy kid taking an exam with Marco Battaglia’s name written at the top LOL
Many of the OL told Schiano to go f himself many times during 1.0No way it’s a practice issue because that’s something that can be fixed. Overheard a 1.0 player was having about getting dismissed from team, and he said, it takes a LOT to get dismissed. A real LOT. Love all the people chiming in with off base information. It's funny if this was it...back in the day- during 1.0 Schiano assigned my son to AD to make sure AD made it to all practices, meetings and film on time. Every team has a couple of those type of guys. Literally the guys that no other player is going out anywhere with. They aren’t. My golf membership costs more than they make. Which makes it a lot more than what you make lol

Some really deranged dudes allowed to get away with anything as long as you are helping the team win.
Im not talking about self-destructive types like LT...I am talking about those who make Aaron Hernandez look like a choir boy. There were 1 or 2 on every team my son was on that should have pretty much been doing serious prison time.It was 45 years ago, but the stories about Lawrence Taylor were amazing.
Some real miscreants in pro sports. Gets worse and worse every year.Every team has a couple of those type of guys. Literally the guys that no other player is going out anywhere with.
