Officially under 1 month away! Anyone know about any pre-game festivities for the Boston College game? Last time there was a RU Pregame at Cityside Tavern that was awesome. I have a large group going, but would love to take over another bar.

Nuts, I was at the last Cityside Tavern takeover. It was great. Was hoping to do something similar. I got a group of 24 coming this time. I actually thought it was a “sanctioned” event last time b/c everyone there was in Scarlet.

The one that knight before was, not the day of the game, which is why they wouldn’t set up a party for us this year as some research done by one of our other posters discovered.

Rutgers is coming back to Boston College this season on Friday, September 11 for the annual Red Bandanna Game, a tradition that honors the incredible legacy of BC alumnus Welles Crowther ’99. We’d love to have you back at Alumni Stadium for this year’s special matchup.
If you’re looking to bring a group, we also still have a limited number of tailgate tents available!

I believe it will be filled with Scarlet yet again this year. Everyone that I know attending the game, myself included, is planning on stopping there on Friday, and, quite possibly on Thursday evening as well.

I talked with the owner last time, he was VERY pleased with how many RU fans showed up and ate & drank. He said it was his busiest opening football weekend ever.

I'll be hiking that week in New Hamshire and figured i'd catch the game on the way back.

I assume empty stadium, but it is the red bandanna game..... so maybe full

What is the best way to get a ticket to be in the RU area.....
"Football Away Game tickets will be available for purchase until Friday, July 31 at 11:59pm."

Is there a particular section so that i can buy it off a 3rd party?

We rented a van and will be tailgating in that lot. Got a group ticket package for Sec. RR. See you there!

- Hotel near Boston’s historic areas and take a 1 hour MBTA ride to the game?
- Same but drive to BC … but WHERE TO PARK???
- Hotel near Chestnut Hill?

It sounds like BC isn’t the easiest place to get to/stay on game day.

I’m going with a group of 10-12 people. AirBNB. From Thursday to Sunday. We are tailgating in the upper Brighton lot. By the looks of above we will be hitting the Cityside tavern Thursday night

AC Hotel near Cleveland Circle is the best bet near campus
Great neighborhood and super safe

Short ride up Brookline Ave on the T up to Fenway
Do the ballpark tour, eat bar pie at Game On, and head to Bleacher Bar for a drink overlooking the field

Otherwise stay in the Harbor or near the North End
Westin is my favorite for the Harbor
Hotel Indigo or any of the hotels near / next to the TD Garden are for the North End

Definitely eat there if you're staying there
You can walk there from any of the hotels
Best Little Italy in the country, hands down

Florentine Cafe is my favorite spot
Quaint, great little bar scene, awesome food, not super expensive
Mike's is across the street - cash only for pastries and cannoli's

Also, Regina's is a legendary spot
Solid pie

Union Oyster House is the move if you're in the mood for seafood
Another relic - great scene and food

we are staying where we stayed the last time we played them up there, at the Newton Marriott.

Driving up with friends. Ubering to Cityside Tavern then walking to the stadium from there.

If anyone needs 3 tickets in the Rutgers section please let me know. We had bought tickets and planned to make the trip but my wife is hospitalized and will not be able to travel by then.

I dont have them in my hand, waiting to get them from RU.

Between that and people just moving around because it is Friday night, the T will be beyond packed.
