This was a real tough battle fior both teams as neither team's defense could contain the other team. Lots of cramping on both sides tonight, more than I would have expected, and it played a huge factor in the outcome. Hickory hurt themselves by throwing 2 interceptions inside the SP red zone and then fumbling on the last potential go ahead score at midfield. I'm sure when the offensive stats are completed there may be a cobined 800+ yards of offense on the night. On to next week's match up at Cougar Flats.
Definitely, to many turnovers tonight, credit to South Point for playing a fundamentally sound football game, very close game back & forth defensive had trouble stopping each other's offenses, three turnovers really did some damage compared to their 0 turnovers. @CHEERDUCK you notice when it was tied 28-28 and we were driving before the INT our starting QB was still out of the game, I think he had his pads off, Jenkins was out the game and even Zay was out as well, idk I guess it was cramping. I did not feel comfortable about that drive, it's still a lot to look forward to though, for next week, South Point beat us last year first game and we went on to win 13 straight games no big deal just get better and move on #TornadoPride
That’s what EB 94’ lost by to McDowell in fall 1994. A dang fingertip. McDowell was #2 team in conference behind a state title Crest and EB was in the basement at next to last with Watauga during Wataugas suck years. I was gonna try to make myself look good on this by pointing out what might be a holding penalty. Was thinking when the guys who have been around a long time see this they’ll say “He’s got pretty keen eyesight for an old man.”

Maiden/Lincolnton moved up to 6:30 start time.
Saint is way better then they have been but bandys is also a really good team. There offense has a lot of weapons they also throw the ball pretty well Mason and Ryder McClure have great connection. Coaching is also a lot better than the last few years.
We sure don't want AMD and his devils to get wet!
Update here at Cat Square: NL looking ok against what looks like lowered stock tallent from other years WL team. Vanilla looking play calling so far for the North boys and a far cry from 2 years ago.

Maiden defense is really solid. If the offense comes around soon y’all will have a good year. Six turnovers (I think) makes it tough against anyone.
