Julia Curlee was a CIA officer for nearly 20 years, and was the daily briefer for Mike Pence when he was VP. Curlee was brought back to the WH when Donald Trump began his second term, but was ousted after nut job Laura Loomer went on a rage looking for a deep state subversive trans person in the administration. Someone had tipped off Loomer about Curlee, but did not identify her. Curlee being a trans citizen was not a secret, and she says she was treated fairly and with respect up until Loomer became involved.
If you read the article she makes good points about how having the best people in the job is not a priority for this administration, and how having only loyalists led us into an intractable war with Iran.

I have been repeatedly told that the issue over trans citizens was purely about protecting young girls and the access to sports that so many posters care deeply about, and protecting the sanctity of bathrooms.
Weird that all of those posters who screamed until they were red in the face are silent. They all assured me they'd be right there when trans citizens were discriminated against.
