I've had a Kershaw scallion for a couple years & mostly like it. I'm the worst about losing a pocketknife & this is the longest I've ever managed to keep one. I've had the kershaw onion in the past and also liked it; the scallion has a slightly shorter blade and also some recurve that I like. The spring assist on Kershaw is pretty well-made considering the price. Alas, it is currently amiss.

I really like the look and craftsmanship of a Benchmade. I think I'd just get pissed at that price whenever I did lose it.

What do yall like?

Razor lite EDC for daily use and utility and blades are easy to replace. I have a nice lightweight Boker automatic when I travel. Have a couple of nice Ontario tactical folders but too heavy for pocket use.

I've been carrying a Benchmade 940 Osborne for a little over a year and have enjoyed it. I never thought I would pay that much for a pocket knife till I held the Osborne. It just felt solid, well balanced and felt good in the pocket. I did swap out the AL scales for Flytanium green G10.

I looked at a BM Bug Out and it just felt cheap in my hand for the price. My next knife will probably be an Osborne Mini or if they made a Auto Osborne mini I would buy one right now.

I've got more pocket knives than I do underwear and socks and I carry them all on no certain schedule. I look in the drawer in the morning that I keep them in and see which one speaks to me the most that day and I grab it.

I think they all pretty much are close to the same and that's a folding large blade, folding shorter blade, bottle/can opener, phillips and flat screwdrivers. A few of them may have an extra like a corkscrew, wire cutter, etc but those are small exceptions. I can get all those choices in either a swiss army knife or one of the "folding tools" like a Leatherman.

Edited to say if you just want a blade to carry for cutting whatever, look at CRKT (Columbia River Knife & Tool) at www.crkt.com They have some really fine knives at what are mostly affordable knives. I bought one on a whim off Amazon and its only a single blade folding knife but it feels so good in the hand. They are all designed by independent designers from all over the country and world and then manufactured by CRKT.

I’ve got a bunch of knives, mostly picked up used on EBay. I generally find myself reaching for a Swiss Army. They can be incredibly useful in many situations.

Yep, not many quick fixes you can't do w/ one. I sometimes have one in my front pocket and a Leatherman in my back pocket for no other reason than the Leatherman has the needle nose pliers/wire cutter/nut tightening head I might need.

I carry a spyderco ladybug. I know it’s made in Japan. But in the saltwater it holds up.
Also Kershaw cryo. It’s been rode hard and put up wet.
My cheap is a smith and wesson drive.

I've got a few Benchmade's but the two I carry most often are a Mini Claymore auto and a Mini Barrage. Thinking about an Infidel or Microtech otf. I have a CRKT I keep on my shorts pocket while working in the yard. If it falls off, I haven't lost anything.

Best cheap knife for my needs: CRKT Drifter
Best splurge knife: Benchmade Bugout

I don’t lose them so the Bugout is my EDC. I give the Drifters as gifts. Great knives for the price.

Something I got recently that I put in my pocket when I get home and carry around the yard is this automatic utility knife. Under $25 and it's always sharp.

Been carrying a bench made the last 3-4 years for everyday use. Gets used for anything and everything from cutting up lunch to backing screws out when a screwdriver isn’t close. Between work and around the farm it’s a tough SOB. Holds an edge better than about anything I’ve ever owned.

I stopped carrying one because I’d always forget and get it confiscated at a metal detector.
So many more damn places have them now, too. I've gotten pretty good at hiding them outside the door, but also another reason I don't really care to pay a lot.

A Buck 505 I’ve had since the 90s. I rediscovered it a couple years ago cleaning out some drawers at my mom’s house and have been carrying it since then. Fine little knife…

I have a bunch of different kinds that I have collected over the years but for every day, and fishing, I carry a 2 blade Case Yellow Trapper. When I go hunting I carry a Case 2 blade folding Hunter. I have two of the folding Hunters. The first one I got second hand for $5 when I was about 15. Im almost 72 now. The blades are pretty worn down from being sharpened about a zillion times, but it’s still as good as new. I got the other one as a birthday present when I turned 40. It’s still as good as new and those two knives have probably cleaned at least 300 deer, plus they have preformed countless other task. One stays in my day pack and the other one in my pocket. Lots of memories and nostalgia for me with those Case knives and I have no desire to replace them with anything else on the market.

When I worked I carried a Leatherman every day. Good steel, their knives are quality as well. Benchmade is probably my favorite everyday knife but they are pricey. CRKT is pretty good stuff for a Chinese made knife. My current favorite is a Boker copper handled folding non locking knife. It’s about 1/8 thick overall and weighs next to nothing. It’s a great elastic waisted shorts knife.

very much dependent on how I am dressed.....but, I always have a knife on me

-Sunday go to church with slack or suit: Case mini butterbean
-in one of my smaller job capacities, I need a light blade: Benchmade Bugout drop-point
-and my EDC, other than above situations: ProTech "BR-1 Magic" (one of the best knives I have ever owned, and even run with it)).....As much as I love Benchmade products.....Pro-Tech is a unbelievably great built knife and worth every penny

**I am a recovering knife addict (old school case pocket knives), and today only buy a good blade every few years, and loosing a blade is just not a option

Not a knife (other than paracord cutter), but this little keychain tool has come in very handy on a regular basis over the last six years. Also has a decent built in knife sharpener.
