Reading some of the cereals, you all were some rich mofos.
Unfortunately, no stranger to the big plastic bags of sugarless puffed rice and puffed wheat.

Fortunately, as kids left the house, dad got a better job, and mom went back to work, yes the heavily advertised sugary stuff.

Definitely correlated to disposable income.

@vhualum (the black one) did the guy on the Cream of Wheat box suffer the same fate as Aunt Jemima? I used to love Cream of Wheat. Maybe I'll get back to it, if I lose all my teeth.

Nvm - I see he was. So much for my nostalgia for my stereotypical and stereotyped upbringing.

I grew up on squirrels and bullheads……our roast was a beef tongue cooked in the pressure cooker long enough we could chew it…..we raised huge gardens and had chickens….. only went to the store to get stuff we couldn’t produce on our own

People are helpless nowadays…..that being said I will never eat a squirrel or bullhead again….. I moved on to walleye and crappie and deer

I was thinking today about back in the early 70’s the deer population was just starting to reach huntable numbers and you had to be lucky to draw a doe tag

that was also about the time Iowa started having turkey seasons….. they traded Michigan pheasants for wild turkeys…… I grew up in Lucas county….. Stephens Forest was one of the first places they stocked them

anyone remember corn meal mush for breakfast?

I will NEVER hate on anyone who has good feelings about Uncle Ben’s, aunt Jemima, etc.

What’s interesting is that I don’t know a black person that eats cream of wheat. Only grits.

Anything new on recruiting?
Iowa wants Snap so they are trying to bring in his older brothers Crackle and Pop. Doubtful Beth Goetz will admit them. Snap is a hammer.

Tony the Tiger is #1 p4p recruit but wants to continue to wear orange and black...so OSU.

Count Chocula is #2 p4p recruit but will want to reside in a "sylvania. So PSU lean.

If one wrestler in Starocci had more individual titles than the last 15 years of Iowa's high school recruiting classes had for Iowa combined, I'd turn the recruiting thread into a discussion about breakfast cereal also.

Let us go back to talking cereal while you go back to those diddy parties with Starocci.

My parents used to go grocery shopping on Saturday mornings and a few times a year, they would bring home breakfast from McDonalds. Their Raspberry danishes were the best. It was like a holiday having a danish instead of cereal.

As a Penn State fan myself I really struggle to understand what you get out of a post like this.

I tried to find out what the natural flavors were, but it was 1% or less, so no lucky. But it still get front page billing. Now, as for sweetened...I laughed when the label said it had 18 grams of sugar, including 18 grams of added sugar. So much for the fruit.

Edit: I keep picturing someone in the Post factory leaving an open bottle of apple juice around in the hopes some of the evaporated particles wind up in the cereal so they can say natural fruit flavor.

Tom Ryan. He has consistently out-recruited Brands in recent years, but Ohio State has finished behind Iowa for six straight tournaments.
Im a little late to the party, sorry. So Ohio state has finished below Iowa consistently.

Q: So why does Iowa have such a negative image aright now, other than penn state fans that hate the gable era iowa/Iowa fans.

I honestly mean this my wife, sorry camera shy, always roots for Iowa because of the Brands she loves them and I honestly like them too. But why do they have so much pressure on them while still being top5.

My A: it's not that wrestling has passed TnT it's rather they dont want to adapt to thr transitions of wrestling. They simply love wrestling the way that came "easy" to them!
F all the new changes I get it but the old style of wrestling, the "Iowa" style, way has passed. Its still successful on the highest level but it's just out dated. I know nothing though.

I feel as though it's not that they dont want to make the change but can't. If you all you know is hard nosed than you get no melody. If that makes sense.

1. Ohio State was never a dynasty. Having never achieved those highs the comps for them are different.

2. There is no Ohio State on3 board.

3. What does this have to do with cereal?

Military don't have a one-time-per-month limit; they have unlimited shopping privileges at military commissaries.

You really used Chat GPT to answer a question a no one asked?

Yes. The Commissary is open 7 days a week on every base. But like i said, you imbecilic ruhtard, My mom went to the grocery once a month for the big haul and MY SNACKS. I'm sure she went as needed throughout the month. But that was the only time I could pick out my snacks, cereal, items for us kids.

Imbecilic ruhtard? Mommy should withhold your snacks, fat boy.
