UL already has the highest payroll, can they even afford Mitchell?
No idea. Spending is out of control in college basketball across the board.

Do they have room after adding trimble?UL already has the highest payroll, can they even afford Mitchell?
We both know it was likely that he was referred to an attorney already poised to file a case in Kentucky. I think it does not matter the venue but does matter the judge. Edwards is smart and also has a rep for being plaintiff friendly. Being with other plaintiffs is probably better than going it alone.Mitchell is going to either UK or UL. That's a given, otherwise he doesn't file this suit in Louisville asking for a statewide injunction.
I do find it curious he filed with other UL plaintiffs and filed in Louisville. I know MAYBE it was to save some money, and sure Louisville has more liberal judges, but it sure seems his better bet was to file himself in Lexington.
There are 10 football schools with a 40M+ payroll this season and no telling how many more in the 30’s. It’s absolutely insane. 20+ in basketball is crazy, but overall those guys make way more per player than football does in the pros as well.No idea.
