Brooks 4 out on A, Graber 5 on B and Fernandez/Williams 2 and 3 on C so there may be some overlap. Ono follows Williams on C.
Lather is very good. She just lost to Kennedy Blades 5-3 earlier this year. I still thought Taina had a chance but she just couldn’t finish her shots.Fernandez vs Lather India 68kg Qual Kennedy Blades beat Lather 5-3 at Zagreb in Feb.
Fernandez with front headlock and spins behind. No luck turning the wing. 2-0. Fernandez single to stalemate. Handfighting and pummeling. Ofiicials can't decide on passivity wit white paddles. Fernandez single that Lather spins behind a for TD. 2-2 Lather at the break.
2nd
India works underhook. Lots of pushing and Fernandez is warned. Fernandez single but gets stuck underneath and back to feet. Fernandez single to India crotch lock for 2. Lather leading 4-2. Fernandez doesn't have her usual strength advantage and hits a Rachel now down 6-2. Fernandez gives up a late give up TD and turn to lose 10-2
That info about Blades was in my top line. But yes Fernandez just couldn't finish. I think it's the first match she's had where she had a power deficit. At the U17 level she turned everyone with the wing after he initial TD. She barely moved Lather with the bar. She then got stuck underneath a few times with her single where she can usually power through. It was a great learning experience.Lather is very good. There were 3 US matches going at the same time. No post was made about Seidel or Sinclair. I waited until after the match was over. I didn’t even give the result but I’ll edit to make you both happy. It’s crazy we can’t talk about the matches as they happenPlease let him do his pbp first and then add your post with the result after his. Thank you!!
I stand corrected. I didn't realize there were 3 US matches going on at the same time. My apologies. There were 3 US matches going at the same time. No post was made about Seidel or Sinclair. Care to describe the match at all? Inquiring Sleepyheads want to know!@vhsalum You were right about Sinclair. He has looked incredible. Don’t really see anyone else challenging him now
Gladly. Ended up Sinclair winning 4-4 on criteria. Shamsipour with the typical Iranian style. Dug underhooks and kept trying to take Sinclair to the edge. He got 3 stepouts and a caution and 1 at the very end of the match. Sinclair had 2 takedowns. Really beautiful high crotch and clean finish for his 2nd td. High level match between 2 really elite guysCare to describe the match at all? Inquiring Sleepyheads want to know!![]()
10:45 am.Will there be any more matches today and if there are about what time will they be back on?
Kid is impressive everywhere. Can scramble, can turn, can get to legs when needs to, great head hands and can score from the front head position.Seidel is impressive! He is so good with his positioning.
His houdini cartwheel thing vs the Iranian was a masterclsss in mat awareness, and I loved how that same Iranian thought he had an advantage with a deep hook on the mat and Aaron just tied him up in a folkstyle knot.Seidel is impressive! He is so good with his positioning.
