Phillips should be brutal cutting back behind that zone blocking scheme. If Meyer as good as I think he is, 12 personnel should be really tough to stop.
I know they covered DT and acknowledged it was the big concern but they seemed, ultimately, to dismiss the concern. I also don’t recall them discussing ST. Those two issues could result in 7-5 rather than the 9-3 they predicted.
Finally got around to listening to all of it. Love that the guys emphasize the pass game and it's importance: if we want to take the leap to be a contending CFP team, it has to be through the passing game. (1:15:25)
The guys always put the importance of a balanced attack being necessary for a successful team. It's no longer about relying on defense and special teams to do the heavy lifting, they point out how critical it is for the offense to go out and score points.

I guess you never heard of Brian Ferentz or the T-shirt craze "Punting is winning." Other than folks like that, then nobody. LOL
I was referring to 2D's mischaracterization of the sentiments of posters on this board.
And I'm pretty sure the "punting is winning" shirts were made in jest.
Although the reality those seasons, was indeed winning yardage gained through the punt and punt return games. Almost like they named the game football

So he again posted here, with the unsolicited explanation that he hadn't yet listened to the whole thing (even though he pretty much implies the opposite in OP), as cover up for the questioning that he knew was coming.

I can only imagine what that psycho is saying about me. He's always been obsessed with me. I just want to keep this thread relevant to the great podcast episode. Won't find a better pod on football anywhere else. We Hawk fans are lucky.
