It's really incredible how handicapped some members of the fan base are. It's actually possible to appreciate the 10 and 11 win seasons under CJF and hope for the same in the future for CMC. No amount of James Franklin bashing is going to make Matt Campbell look good if he can't achieve records equal to or better than CJF.
Campbell's challenge is completely different than what Franklin faced. Franklin brought PSU back into "the conversation." His downfall was his inability to step into the elite winner's circle. Campbell was brought in with the expectations to put the cherry on the sundae that Franklin couldn't complete.
I've seen season after season cries of "we deserve better." The future is now.
