I sure do. I was there. We were pretty good that year. We went up to Maiden and splished and splashed around and lost.

Creek, I’m surprised you remember that. No way you could’ve been more than an underclassman in high school, then.

Per coincidence, I was thinking about that game here last night.

Careful there AMD, the Reagan Raiders are in the same county. Given the warm welcome they received at Maiden, you would be about as popular there as we would be at East Lincoln.

I may be wrong on this, but I’m thinking both schools have to agree to a Saturday game, which Lincolnton more than likely will.

Thinking the host school gets to keep all the gate during the regular season. I’d want it too.
If it’s played during bad weather or early in the day on Saturday the attendance would probably be down.

If it’s played on Saturday evening there will be a big crowd, but it could increase the risk of problems with fans. It’s a lot to think about and a big decision to make.

That’s not all StormSurge. The Massey ratings picks Maiden to beat Lincolnton 34-21.

MaxPreps has them ranked 4th in the 4A classification with Burns 5th, Hibriten 8th and Cramer 12th.

On the other hand, MaxPreps has Lincolnton ranked 7th in 3A.

Simmons (the only one having it close)has Maiden 3rd in 4A with a power ranking of 127.5 and Lincolnton 3rd in 3A with a power ranking of 126.0
