OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Husker football season is about three weeks away. One of the major topics of discussion among fans is the team’s home game sellout streak, the longest in college football history.

But die-hard fans know tickets sold can differ from the number of fans actually in seats at home games.

That visual gap, combined with a less-than-dominant team over the last few seasons, has raised concern that the historic streak could be in jeopardy.

That excitement in the store might not be carrying over to ticket sales. So far this year, home game ticket sales are down. Big home games against defending national champion Indiana and Big Ten powerhouse Ohio State are about 10,000 tickets short of a sellout.

That has left some fans wondering if the record sellout streak is in jeopardy.

They sell them to some place like seat geek for Pennies on the dollar. They’re pulling a decent profit re selling them, won’t stop anytime soon
I wonder if there has been some sort of Ponzi style ticket scheme going on since the 90's? Just idiots exchanging tickets amongst themselves...all in the name of keeping this farce alive and well. LMAO 1787177588196.gif

Isn’t capacity going down in ‘27 when they make stadium renovations? IF I recall , 20K less seats for new capacity?
