My opinion on gambling has soured a lot in recent years. Maybe the people of the past were onto something with banning or limiting it.
It's kind of like my stance on marijuana. I have been pro-legalization, but I am starting to change my opinion for the simple fact that we have to smell it ALL THE TIME when we are out and about. Same thing with gambling. I am all for someone's right to gamble as much as they want, but I am sick of seeing it everywhere.

Don't even get me started on all the insurance commercials! Couldn't you say that about any product that is marketed?

Also, great Last Week Tonight episode on Online Sports Betting

Yes and no. I think there’s a difference between marketing generally and aggressively marketing something that can be addictive and financially destructive. Cars, restaurants, phones, and insurance are advertised constantly, but their use does not depend on people repeatedly engaging in a behavior that can become compulsive and ruin lives. Also, it goes beyond consumerism. When it becomes deeply embedded in sports, it can affect the integrity of the games themselves. That doesn’t mean gambling should be illegal, but I think there is a legitimate distinction between allowing adults to gamble and saturating sports and everyday life with advertising designed to encourage more of it. Just my 2% of 1 dollar.

Spot on about everything in my opinion.

I partake in smoking weed. It's a nice way to end the day but I do it at my home.

I had to meet the CEO of my company for dinner and I took an Uber because I knew we would be drinking. I hop in the Uber and it just reeks of weed. Sitting in there for 20 minutes and I smell like I was just hanging out with Cheech and Chong, blazing it up before dinner. Not a good look.

I'm perfectly fine with weed staying illegal in Iowa.

They should legalize marijuana, but completely ban smoking it in public and strictly enforce it with severe fines. Do the same with cigarettes too.

Did you tip and rate your Uber driver?
