What percentage of our plays will be passing plays this year ??

I'm not sure what to think about our offensive emphasis this season, but I sense that our offensive line is massive and is expected to be a major strength of the team. Accordingly, with what appears to be a good group of running backs and a mobile quarterback, will we rely heavily on the the run this season ??

Just for reference, I compiled a table of percentage passing plays over the past fifteen (15) seasons, with the resulting records. It seems to suggest we typically win more games relying on the run than the pass. Hopefully, we will have a good, consistent running game this year. GO CATS !!

I think for this particular season, it will be about 45 percent. We are going to want to use our strength on the offensive line with (hopefully) a healthy core of talented running backs. There are some games where Kenny might throw 25 passes and others where he’s gonna have to throw close to 40-45. But I think the average will be about 45/55 in favor of run plays.

YES !! You are 100% correct, as a deeper dive reveals the nuances of how the seasons unfold. They are GENERAL statistics, but they do suggest that a good, consistent running game increases the prospects for winning games. If they cannot stop your run game, no need to pass.
I'd like us to be good enough to effectively run when we WANT to and successfully pass when we HAVE to !! GO CATS !!

I'd guess 55/45 run/pass with no other factors, but as others have said, our schedule is tough and I think we will be behind a whole bunch. Therefore, for this year, I think it will probably be somewhere around pass 56/ run 44.
