It's just hard for me to predict more than 4 wins (ULM, Vandy, Auburn, TT). I think we'll be pretty good, and I could see us winning the Minnesota game and maybe USC or Mizzou, but we will be dogs in both of those games.

Schedule lays out poorly. Minnesota is a toss up, it's away. Same with USC. Missouri is better than us, but it's at home. I would love to swap them and USC. Alabama? lol. @LSU is a loss. Oklahoma is a playoff team more than likely. Of course, they're at home. We probably still lose. @Texas, another lol. Vandy and Auburn are manageable at home. TT is a win. Then @Oxford. If it was at home, I would feel good. If QB1 and RB1 are still healthy and playing at that point, we're probably toast, although I guess you never know with that one.

We're gonna be improved and I could see this team beating somebody we're not to supposed to beat, We'll be a lot more competitive but still not over the hump.

6-6 (3-6)

We will know early how this season will go
win @ Minnesota & Sakerlina, there is a path to winning 7 maybe 8
lose at Minnesota & Sakerlina, it might end 3-9 even 2-10 and we spend October begging Mullen to return

Wins over UL Monroe, Auburn, and Tennessee Tech

I wanted to pick a victory over Vanderbilt but all I see are three wins…

I hope I’m wrong but I’m a natural pessimist. If I’m right, I’m not that upset. If we do better than expected, I’m very happy…

If we start 2-0, we win 7

ULM
Minnesota
USCe
Missouri
vandy
auburn
Tech

If we don't start 2-0, I'll start checking out the basketball rosters and waiting for spring.

3-9. Could be better if KT stays healthy but I don’t think the O line will make it happen for a whole season. By October we are begging for someone to get Dangerous Dan on line one.

5-7 with wins vs ULM, Tenn Tech, 3 of either Minnesota, SCe, Mizzou, Vandy, or Auburn. I hope I'm wrong, but I just can't see. .500 or better happening.

That is certainly possible, but there are three things that make me hopeful. 1.) Defense under Arnett has to be better than what we saw the last two years. 2.) Even with an awful defense we carried Texas and Tenn into OT. 3.) Thompson's ability to run, should keep some drive going. The biggest question marks I have are on the Line (both sides of the ball).

The only lock I see is LA Monroe. TT and Minnesota had good seasons last year, I'm not gonna pencil them in. Don't feel good about Vandy or Missouri either. They were both good last year. At South Carolina, any SEC road game is gonna be tough. Don't really know what to think about Auburn yet with their new coach, but odds aren't in our favor. Alabama, at LSU, Oklahoma, at Texas, and at OM are all nopes. I'm incredibly pessimistic though, so hopefully I'm incredibly wrong too, but I just don't see more than 3 wins at most. MAYBE 4 if the ball bounces our way in a game or two.

4-8, 2-7 I'm very much looking forward to being wrong. If the O-line improves as the year goes on and Super Mario doesn't try to run over too many linebackers we could go on a run. I expect Arnette has enough pieces to make the defense serviceable.

Two of our more successful coaches (at least at times), Jackie and Dan, had a knack for getting the team and fans believing in the team. I remember Dan's first year he did tons of roadshows across the state and the south. I went to several and walked away believing we were on our way. Even in his first year where we didn't win anything of consequence until the egg bowl, the stadium was filled up and fan support was high.

Lebby has done little to nothing along these lines, which I think has been a mistake. I will say there have been times where I felt like he really had the team believing in themselves, but to get the resources he needs, he also needs fans believing in the program. I also wonder why Selmon has not pushed this. Surely he understands the importance of fan support.

Until I see differently 3-9 (1-8). Too many teams with big linemen in the middle of that schedule.

I can answer that question for you, but you won't like the answer.

UL Monroe and Tennessee Tech are sure wins. Tech is an FCS powerhouse, though.

The tossups are Minnesota, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt

The upset potential games are Missouri and Auburn

That's it. We aren't beating anyone else on the schedule.

3-9 (1-8) At this point, I'm not even sure about that one SEC win. But wouldn't be totally shocked if we won 4 or 5. Somebody who everybody thinks is pretty good right now will probably suck, and somebody everybody thinks is bad will be pretty good. Hopefully, the latter is us, but I'll only believe when I see.

I think I agree with this. I'm just not sure I'd have Minnesota as a toss up.

With a new DC, decent portal pick ups, and a QB with another year of maturity, I’d like to think we will go from 5-7 last year to at least 7-5 this year. I just can’t see where those wins come from though.

If we aren't at least 3-2 after Bama, I expect to hear that some prominent boosters could not make the trip to Biloxi for baseball because they are "vacationing" in Las Vegas during the bye week of October 10th
