Grok say:
Yes — this is TPC Sawgrass (Stadium Course Saturday + Dye’s Valley Sunday). Perfect setup with the Marriott (Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa is right next door).
Walking / Caddies
Stadium Course is always cart-path only. Riding means a lot of zigzagging from path to ball. Walking is the much better experience if you’re up for it.
You cannot walk and carry your own bag as a visitor. You have to take a walking caddie:
- Reserve at least 48 hours ahead by calling (904) 273-3430.
- If your tee time already includes a forecaddie (it does with the green fee), the upgrade is:
- Single premium caddie (one bag): $130
- Double-bag caddie (one guy carrying two bags): $85 per player (available Sept–May)
Suggested minimum cash tip: $50 per golfer for a walking caddie ($40 per golfer for a regular forecaddie if you ride).
Dye’s Valley is more flexible — carts can sometimes go on the fairways depending on conditions.
Cash advice
He’s right — double whatever you were planning. Between green fees (Stadium starts around $550–$775+ depending on season, Dye’s Valley cheaper), caddie upgrades + tips, range balls, food/drinks, pro shop merch, and the inevitable balls you’ll leave in the water on 17, it adds up fast. Bring plenty of cash for the caddies and tips.
Quick tips
- The Marriott golf shop can help with bookings if needed: (904) 273-8146.
- Caddies at Sawgrass are excellent — use them. Listen on the greens and especially around the island green.
- Course is very walkable; a lot of people say walking Stadium is the way to do it.
Have a blast and bring extra balls for 17. Hail State.
