Thanks to the democratic party.

They are too busy teaching the 46 genders...... lmfao.

She'll be out of a job soon. The cult doesn't like dissent.

A well known University of California-Berkeley mathematics professor has slammed admissions standards at the top-flight university — where she says huge portions of her students are failing to keep up with college calculus and she’s forced to teach middle-school algebra and fractions to students.

“Some students are five to eight years behind in mathematics. Office hours that should be spent discussing integrals instead become lessons on fractions and basic algebra you would expect students to learn in middle school,” wrote Zvezdelina Stankova, of UC Berkeley, in an op-ed piece on Saturday for the San Francisco Standard.

Stankova — who rose through the mathematics world to earn a PhD from Harvard after being born in communist Bulgaria — described the admissions process as “less like careful evaluation and more like chance.”

I bet you, you couldn't do simple math much less calculus. Haha.

Haha... I sure can.

What we have here is another public sector failure brought to you by the democratic party.
I know you would cheat via AI, otherwise I would love to take you up on your "talents." My guess is you are a borderline clown who couldn't do high school level math.

Can you be specific on which exact Democrat policy was the failure and reason that the students are unequipped to be in college level math. Also wonder if you can provide a summation of the K-12 states for the class and which student, grouped by state need the most help. That would certainly shine a light on the D vs R policy causation.

Seriously? This is pure and utter denial. Math is racist. Test scores are racist. Homework is racist. What we need to do is teach antiracism and gay pride.

95% of the democratic-educational complex is left. They've clearly failed.

You'd be entirely wrong. Entirely.

Cheat by AI? LOL.... Go sit in the corner with a dunce cap on.

Equity practices in admissions. I would bet all my money that before DEI, UC Berkeley students could do fractions. Professors seem to agree.

Over 1,400 University of California faculty members signed an open letter urging the system to reinstate SAT or ACT requirements for STEM applicants. They report a sharp rise in students who are unprepared for college-level math since testing requirements were dropped in 2020 due to equity and bias concerns.

Well yeah but other than that...

I struggled a bit with college level calculus because I didn't care much for math in middle school and high school and never really learned algebra very well, then took the 3 calculus courses late in my college career. That said I had to do some double work for awhile to brush up on algebra I neglected in my earlier years, and also took linear algebra alongside. I was still competent though I remember in my first calc class going to open hours with the professor, and was asking questions and she said "go to the book store and buy this and do the work" and it was an algebra workbook. So, doing that I figured out I could do the calculus but the simple algebra was giving me some fits until I went through the workbook. To see how bad it is though now is really a sad state of affairs

You sound like someone who forms their worldview based on the titles of opinion articles.

She is amazed how much smarter they are when the students can leave the classroom and have AI do the work.

proctored pencil and paper tests with no electronics would result in a lot of people never graduating from college.
