Pray for us over in WV, was hit with bad flooding yesterday and last night, one woman lost her life about 1 mile from my house.

Many other people lost everything, including myself. The water was as high as I’ve ever seen it!

Between what's likely to be a record-breaking El Niño, poor waterways management by states and private entities, and failing infrastructure, stuff like this is bound to happen.

OP, I'm so terribly sorry for your ordeal. I'm not the praying kind, but I sincerely hope you all are alright in the long run. I do try to donate some gear and money to local nonprofits that have boots on the ground to help. If you know of any, please feel free to post them.

You’re correct! It’s results of poorly managed draining systems mostly but an insane amount of rainfall took place!

Not sure of any local nonprofits at the moment but if I hear of any, I will post them here. I slept on a friends porch last night and then been cutting trees all morning.

It actually says the opposite, it tells us that it will rain on the just and unjust.

I’m not a Christian because it “stops” bad things from happening, I’m a Christian because when those bad things happen, I have a God that is right there thru it all.

It’s not global warming, these areas have been flooding for years. It’s not a new or sudden thing. My neighbor is 86 years old and it’s been happening here all of his life.

Thanks man, I truly appreciate it! We will get back to normal soon! Not much can keep us people from Kentucky down for long and the people here in my area where I live now are good hard working people as well.
