I think this ranking like other polls having Iowa in the top 25 are a tribute to PParker's ref and longtime body of work. Iowa lost 8 starters on defense I believe and we win with defense so the pollsters think Parker will do it again. I think having a few transfers with playing experience will help.

And maybe pollsters are high on our OLine, RBs, and TEnds even though we have nothing proven at QB. Diaz could be a big weapon and the passing could be improved as it was the last half of last year. The passing game will be the key as I think the hawks need to avg and get more points in their big games.
