So no one has a report on how yesterday’s scrimmage went?

A mix of crack and bland coach speak mostly about the second string guys or either he has code names for **** and likes to keep stuff close to the vest and didn’t even read it all as it’s hard to make sense from. If our team is competently coached there’s no excuse to net be a lot better than last season. Look at all the games we lost in either OT, Texas and Tennessee or either close losses. I expect them to execute and play better under a real deal D coordinator. Seriously though that article read like someone recorded it in who could barely hear it and further messed it up with AI or some dumb sh*t. We better truly be a lot better in every area. I could name the thing all day long.

Genespage has a couple of free stories. Both basically interviews. Both are the same really. Neither are very informative. He did say the OL had some good moments and some not so good. Good strain. Night and day from last year but still need to improve

Fumbles? Interceptions? Missed tackles? Missed blocks? NOT

Fumbles? Interceptions? Missed tackles? Missed blocks? NOTHING?
Watching ANY kind of practice is like watching black paint dry sitting in a dark closet with no lights. Shirley you don't expect positive reports from the first scrimmage? Practice is what it is, a boring necessity but not one fans thankfully are expected to participate in. Listen to the coach speak if you must but that's almost as boring as watching the paint dry

Well we usually hear about how great the receivers looked then find out in September it’s because our DBs can’t cover anybody. I think our receivers and DBs will be good this year so I’ll take not much info as a good sign that coaches and media aren’t digging just to be able report any sort of good news they can.

My goodness. I read the whole thing and that is 5 minutes of the worst minutia by a head guy I have ever read. Where is Sylvester when you need a cogent coach speak interview?

My take aways: Jaden Rashada a former high four-star is the fourth string QB, behind a walk-on from Prep. Also a dude who wasn't going to play much this season got hurt again and will miss another season due to injury.

I like Lebby just fine and I like his offense. However, he's on a presumably short leash and is paid a lot of money. He has tons of assistants now to help him. If he doesn't win, he's in trouble. A good PR campaign from him would go a long ways and the after practice report is a good place to start. How about a little less "strain", "violence" and "intensity" and something like, "#1 has put on good weight since last season and is going to be tough to bring down", or "we only dropped 2 balls all practice today, which is as good as I've seen". "it's only practice, but I did enjoy watching us score from deep today. The corners were in position, but speed and precise ball placement made me smile". "We are gelling faster on defense than I expected, and that's part coaching, part effort and part scheme." Dang I get tired of hoping to hear something and leave with not one dang thing.

Meh. Nothing he says or doesn’t say in preseason will mean anything. His interview is no different than any other coach. Dont read anything good or bad into it.

Lebby is the lowest paid coach in the SEC…. You get what you pay for

Rosebowl say, he thinks Rashada is the backup ahead of Swann. Not that I care either way, but it's showing that the hype machine is not always consistent.

Fun Fact: Rashada was the #6 overall QB in the 2023 class and ranked 97. Taylor was #8 and ranked 95. Why aren't we all jazzed up about Rashada??? I mean if we're going based on potential alone.

I took away from this thread that we need more spellcheck, paragraphs, commas, and periods in our lives.
Grammar Nazi! You big meanie! I’m totally kidding, lol. My grandparents raised me from the age of 9, and my grandmother taught English for 30 years, so I really only have one excuse: I forgot half of it, as the brain tends to do. Well, maybe I have one more excuse—sometimes I’m on here after I’ve had a few drinks at night. How was that?

Lebby has been paid over $8 million in the last 2 years for going 1-15 in conference............Did we REALLY get what we paid for?

No, you don't get what you pay for. If you want that, then we need performance based salaries:

Actually Clark Lea made $638,863 less than Lebby last season* but went 10-3, sounds like Vandy got a lot more than they paid for.

Shane Beamer went 4-8 but was paid $8,150,000, S Carolina didn't get what they paid for.

Brian Kelly was 5-3 and 2-3 when he got fired and walked away with $54 Million including his salary of $10.3 for last season. LSU damn sure didn't get what they paid for. He has since given up some of that salary because he's going on tv.

Kamario showed a lot of on field potential in the SEC last season whereas Rashada struggled at Sacramento State.

Well I did notice that you posted at 2:49 am. I figured it was either alcohol-fueled or post-coitous brain fog, so either way - congrats on a fun night 👊
