The lineup this year is STACKED. Anyone on here going? If so, what acts are you looking forward to most?
I'm going, definitely Thursday in general is the highlight to me. Gary Clark Jr, Queens of the Stone Age, and Foo Fighters are all favorites of mine, and Live has been a really good show both times I've seen them. I've not listened to Goose but I know there's a lot of hype around them recently so excited to give them a shot. The lineup this year is STACKED. Anyone on here going? Friday is my day. It doesn't look like I will have a lot of breaks. My Friday looks similar, but I'll be at Violent Femmes over OMaMFriday is my day. It doesn't look like I will have a lot of breaks. I'm making my schedule now so I don't have an anxiety attack when I get there.
1. Devil Makes Three
2. St. Paul and the Broken Bones
3. Jet
4. Father John Misty
5. Of Monsters and Men
6. The Flaming Lips
7. Wifey (aka Kacey Musgraves)
8. Mumford and Sons
It breaks my heart that I have to pass on Kitchen Dwellers, but Jet was one of my favorite bands in high school.
Well I'm turning 40 soon and I have been to 5 straight Bonnaroos, it's definitely not easy. I have to take an extra day off to spend all of Tuesday laying on the couch recuperating, get 2 good sleeps in before going back to work.Regardless, I hope this weather cools down SIGNIFICANTLY. I used to do Bonnaroo in my youth in weather that is somewhat similar to this. I'm not that guy anymore. lol
I'll be 40 next year and haven't been since 2013. Paul McCartney was the main headliner and put on one of the best performances that I have ever seen. Tom Petty played on Sunday night, but by that time most of the people in my camp wanted to leave. Petty died a few years later and I still kick myself for not staying.Well I'm turning 40 soon and I have been to 5 straight Bonnaroos, it's definitely not easy. Goose is a REALLY good jam band. I like all their stuff. You should give them a listen ahead of time. Arcadia Live 7.27.19 is a personal fave of mine.I'm going, definitely Thursday in general is the highlight to me. No. Chris Gaines is at one of the smaller stages though. Is Garth Brooks playing this year?
Man that sucks. I’d love to see Tom Petty live.I'll be 40 next year and haven't been since 2013. Paul McCartney was the main headliner and put on one of the best performances that I have ever seen. DMB would be my go to. My favorite live band to watch. Although I wish it was the real DMB with the full crew. I like Hootie as well. Thursday or Sunday would be my days to go.I'll be there Sunday. Got the email they'll be sending out the bracelets soon. Sunday is 90's day. Looking forward to see DMB again. Probably will buy a Thursday pass just to see the Foos and QOTSA. It's a great day with just those two acts. I'm sure Grohl will sit in on some songs.
I've seen DMB three times but it's been a good while. Last I saw them it was all the original guys. Only three of them left. They put on a great show.DMB would be my go to. It's all subjective. There are bands every day that I like and still listen to. Wish I would've got some Louder Than Life tix. Man, I'd love to see Megadeth on their farewell tour. They put some new stuff out the last year or so and it was really good. The lineup looks kinda boring, not that I don't like a lot of those bands, but it just feels very vanilla.
I’d love to see Verve Pipe and Counting Crows too. DMB is still a great show, but it’s sad not having Leroy and Boyd anymore. Even at the RNRHOF they didn’t let Boyd come which is kinda messed up to me. I know he had those allegations, but all it led to was getting money so I question the validly of it all. At least I got to see them in their heyday touring a few times.I've seen DMB three times but it's been a good while. Last I saw them it was all the original guys. Only three of them left. Looking forward to some 90s bands I liked on Sunday in Hootie, Tonic, Counting Crowes, Our Lady Peace and The Verve Pipe.
I knew Leroi died of an atv accident but I had zero knowledge of Boyd Tinsley's lawsuit. I went and looked him up and read the sit rep. There's two sides to every story and money will make people do nefarious things. This day and age you don't know who to believe. I will say that DMB was the best with the Everyday album and anything that came before that.I’d love to see Verve Pipe and Counting Crows too. Busted stuff is one of my favorite albums they made but it was right after Everyday. I had just bought that CD my Junior year of High School and some dude broke into my car while it was having the transmission repaired in the lot of their business and they stole my CD player and CD’s.I knew Leroi died of an atv accident but I had zero knowledge of Boyd Tinsley's lawsuit. Bourbon and Beyond is a normie fest, always has been. But enough good bands that I often go (especially because my wife will go to this one with me and won't go to Roo or LTL).The lineup looks kinda boring, not that I don't like a lot of those bands, but it just feels very vanilla.
I have friends who were there that year, they've also said McCartney is one of the best shows they've seen.I'll be 40 next year and haven't been since 2013. I got the two-weekend "exacta" pass, bought it in December when only 2 LTL bands were announced. $660 for the whole thing, I figure I almost always end up getting one whole weekend and a day of the other once lineups are out, and that costs as much as doing this. I'll end up going to 3 days of each this year.I’ll be at night one of Louder Than Life the week before in the same spot. That one is more my speed. Lol
You'd need a backhoe or somethingMan that sucks. I’d love to see Tom Petty live.
Me too. I can't wait for Megadeath. Dave Mustaine is retiring. Probably the last chance to see them.I’ll be at night one of Louder Than Life the week before in the same spot. That one is more my speed. Lol
I’d need a voodoo priest that knows how to contact the dead. You'd need a backhoe or something
