Can’t give a top 10, but I’d think Bishop Mac @ Wilmington would be in that mix. Wilmington probably ranked #1 in 2A and Mac top 10 ranked in 3A…

Caravan vs Flyer is obviously the GOTW.

For a CPS/CCL matchup I think Marist and Simeon is going to be really good. I think Laurence clocks King.

Outside of MC/ESL, I really like Rita and Providence. I think that will tell a lot about both teams. I think it's going to be a better game then BR and LWE.

Richards runs havoc on the depleted DePaul Prep team that had a mass exodus after the Coach left

King brings back a D1 OT and RB. Definitely not to be taken lightly but I hope you are correct.

Do all schools these days have their tickets on GoFan? I'm assuming schools will have tickets for sale up by Monday if they are not posted yet? Hope there are big crowds for these great games to start the season!

Nothing Personal I just dont think is top 10 Class 3A team. They lost QB, Top 2 Backs and Top 2 WR. Unless their Offensive Line had a major offseason I think Wilmo will handle them up up front. Could be wrong though.

Maybe not clock but I'd go with comfortable win. I know Laurence has some players on D, how is the O shaping up?
Young, but a lot of juniors with varsity experience from last year. Junior QB shared 1/3 of the snaps last year. Dual threat that fits well into the offense. Deep at RB with the addition of the BR transfer. Will obviously know more after Friday.

Wilmo rolls B Mac.
Rice rolls at LWE.
Glen West at Lockport has my full attention.
Benet at Le-Win makes no sense to me.
MC at ESL is the GOTW.

You are wrong and need to check your facts.

Bmac’s tailback will be the best player on the field and I can’t think of a better small school skill player than him. He is special.

I’m a big fan of Coach Youngblood and I believe his team had a great off season and will be up for the challenge.

Benet vs Lena-Winslow is interesting from a class perspective. Isn't Benet 7a and Lena 1a?

This is going to be a good game. How many other times have two teams met with such a large difference in classes / enrollment and was a great game?

Gennings Dunker from Lena was just drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Doesn't Gennings have a brother at Lena?

Is it going to be a good game? I have no idea. What makes you think so?

Its a weird matchup. A small enrollment public school vs a large enrollment private school.

Last time I saw this was Loyola vs Rochester but both were powerhouses.

Lena is a small school playoff powerhouse. I think it will be good without looking up any predictions from anybody.

No argument on weird and interesting matchup. I just have no idea how to look at this game. I was interested in what made you think it was going to be a good one.

The wildcard is new coach at Benet. Can he make a difference in year 1 or how substantial a difference. I do know they got at least 1 notable transfer.

My gut says Benet pulls away in 2nd half but I really have no basis for that...

The other thing is that Benet's enrollment being multiplied overstates the enrollment difference. Still vast, but less vast.

This is part of the reason for my class warfare thread. How well does a 1A monster stack up against a private team like Benet? How well does a 3A power perform against a typical 7A public? A 6A power against a 4A and 8A power?

Maybe we can extrapolate something

Naz vs ICCP will be another good game. I see Naz is playing the Elmhurst circuit as they will play another Elmhurst team in week 2, York.

Who on Naz are players to watch? I know JJ, the Sakalas twins the WR, Kasky, Injaychock. any others I should watch?

Check your facts. The Lee brothers are outstanding athletes but means very little if they cant win the battle up front. They def arent going to expose Wilmington through the air. Greg Youngblood is an outstanding man and coach but its asking alot from a team that lost so much from last year to go on and take on a team like Wilmington. I stand by every fact I stated.

They didn't lose their top 2 backs bud. Their best one returned.

Nope he didnt May graduated and so did Calloway. Those two had way more snaps from the RB spot in their pistol offense then Lee who played a majority of his snaps from the slot.

Will it? Some can argue Naz is a Top 5 school. ICCP is not a Top 30. Naz should win this one easily, no? 45 - 14?

Game is at IC. Naz probably the favorite but will have to find a way to slow down Bowen. IC rarely loses by more than 7 points. Wasn't this game a nail biter last year?
Naz does return a lot especially on defense, I believe. For last year what I found interesting is that it was a close game between Roadrunner and Knight (24 - 21?) and then Rita (who got thumped by Naz) pounded ICCP Week 9. Strange how these things work. So, in the end, you may be correct. We'll see.

Of course they have, but the conversation is newsworthy right now. I think the MS coach complained too, so maybe they could tie.
Meh. MOB clearly reached out for a quote for a click bait article. Both coaches (Piron and Lynch) have been asked about this multiple times over the years

Of course they have, but this thread is literally about the article that was written yesterday.

I'm pretty much over the argument, Play with whoever walks through the door.
