*** Edit: @Tom McAndrew I didn't see your most-recent U20 videos in the Social Media thread prior to posting this here. Feel free to move it there. Thanks, Gaylon ***

Her total mat time for her combined three U20 golds was approximately 5:45!

Does this board want the women's pbp posted?

I typically do it on a small board that doesn't see much traffic but can do it here if there's a demand. No need to respond (except from mods), I'll take likes as a yes.

You can stop with the likes, I see there is a demand so I'll put them here.

Finding the UWW bout board is so counterintuitive while USA Bracketing has U20s as an event but doesn't appear to have a "live" option yet so I hope I don't miss anyone. Have Squier up in 5 on C and Bowling up in 12/Boger 18 on B.

Squier US vs Yoshida Japan 87 Kg GR

And the USA kicks off U20 Greco Roman a little over an hour into the tournament.

Japan holding center in the t-rex sumo. Japan almost had a body lock then thought about an arm spin before getting the push out. 1-0 Japan. Japan body lock slide by for TD up 3-0. Squier goes down first down 4-0. Yoshida with the big lift but uses a turk and gets nothing. Yoshida digging underhook on the edge and misses the pushout as Squier times the TD 4-2 then Yoshida underhook to edge and gets the TD this time 6-2 and a late TD to end the period up 8-2.

2nd
Squier gives up the body lock slide by to lose by TF 10-2. Fairly good chance to get pulled back into repechage as Yoshida could make the finals.

Nick Sorrow US vs Hibarino Japan 63Kg GR 1/8

Sorrow 6 inches taller. Japan headlock for 4 off the whistle.then another aggressive TD. Sorrow with reversal and turn. Hibarino up 6-3 30 seconds in. Hibarino with multiple slips. Japan holding center while Sorroww fights for underhooks. Another Hibarino slip throw. Hibarino headlock for 4. 10-3 Japan at the break.

2nd
Sorrow scores TD off Japan headlock attempt 10-5. Sorrow needs to initiate something instead of the t-rex pushing as the pace has slowed. They put up 4 japan while they were busy showing the Japaneses coach so having to look at challenge replay. Sorrow went for a flying squirrel. and Sorrow won the challenge back to 10-5 with 7 seconds left. Sorrow hits a penetration step into a body lock but no score. Hibarino wins 10-5

I sometimes make fun of Greco as t-rex sumo but Japan's 130 is built like a 5'2" sumo wrestler. Would make Coby Merrill look long and lean.

The challenge system seems much more streamlined than U17s so far.

Miyake, Japan's 130 is giving up a foot in height to his CZE oppenent in a the 1/8s.

Bowling US vs Terteryan ARM 77Kg GR 1/8

Arm working the Russian tie gets warned for too much motion on it. Arm controlling center. Bowling significantly taller but is put down first. 1-0 Armenia gets a turn and a step out 4-0 Terteryan. Bowling spins on the edge to avoid another step out. 4-0 Terteryan over Bowling at the break.

2nd.

Armenia with a push out. Bowling struggling with a power deficit. Not a lot of action as Armenia gets a point for something. 6-0. Iowa room really paying off as Bowling never attempted to score in a 6-0 loss. Both of the other Americans who have competed so far have lost but put forth some effort. Bowling seemed content with losing.

Travyn Boger vs Abdevali Iran 130 kg 1/8

Both about the same size but Iran seems more muscular. Boger seems a little off balance as Iran hold center. Boger spins to avoid a step out as Iran seems stronger. Boger goes down first. Iran circles out front for the head pinch. Nothing as there's a blood stoppage. 1-0 Iran. Boger holding center a little better but a lot of hand clasping. Iran with the body lock for 4 but Boger challenges. Looks like a leg sweep with Iran's knee to me but I'm no Greco expert. Challenge won 1-1 Boger at the break.

2nd

Iran body lock for 4 early. Boger stepped right into a bear hug trying to hold center. Boger tries a shrug and gives up the TD 7-1. Iran penetration step into another bear hug, Boger cedes the TD to avoid the throw and loses 9-1.
