Has looked better in all the practices and drills. We should not play a player just because they are getting more NIL money.
Wow. Who knew we had someone posting on here who has watched ALL the practices. I’m glad DK came back, but they didn’t sign Colandrea to sit. His resume speaks for itself.okay
His resume includes the fact that he is a turnover machine. Which is why I doubt we do any better this year than 6-6 or 5-7.Wow. Who knew we had someone posting on here who has watched ALL the practices. I’m glad DK came back, but they didn’t sign Colandrea to sit. His resume speaks for itself.
Prove it…Has looked better in all the practices and drills. We should not play a player just because they are getting more NIL money.
6-16 against major conference opponents and losing to Ohio.Wow. Who knew we had someone posting on here who has watched ALL the practices. I’m glad DK came back, but they didn’t sign Colandrea to sit. His resume speaks for itself.
Did you watch colandrea against Ohio?Watching DK at Virginia I doubt he's the starter unless significant improvement is made.
You know this how? Not from what I've heard but then again unlike you obviously, I have not been at every practice and watched every drill. From what I've been told, DK is unfortunate a very distant 3rd. Was hoping he'd challenge but...Has looked better in all the practices and drills. I think he's gonna be somewhat similar to Tommy Armstrong. YOLO ball. His resume includes the fact that he is a turnover machine. Which is why I doubt we do any better this year than 6-6 or 5-7.
Everyone knows he has completed the most passes in campI have zero allegiance to any particular QB and agree the best should play. But this OP is subjective and speculative. 3 weeks out, we just need a game!
Everyone says otherwiseYou know this how? Not from what I've heard but then again unlike you obviously, I have not been at every practice and watched every drill. From what I've been told, DK is unfortunate a very distant 3rd. Was hoping he'd challenge but...
Actually his turnovers were better last season. His TD to INT ration was close to where he needs to be. If he can cut his INTs by even 2-3 he’ll be fine. You’re going to get more chunk QB run plays and TDs from Coleandra than you would from Kaelin. His resume includes the fact that he is a turnover machine. Which is why I doubt we do any better this year than 6-6 or 5-7.
He looked about as good at Virginia as Mendoza looked at Cal. I realize UNLV is a different level of competition but I can't believe how willing people are to completely discount the fact that he has tons of experience.Watching DK at Virginia I doubt he's the starter unless significant improvement is made.
I guess I have to trust Dana over random Husker board posters on who should be our starter. He looked about as good at Virginia as Mendoza looked at Cal. I actually misread his post, I was talking about AC. So you and I agree. I can't wait to see Colandrea.I guess I have to trust Dana over random Husker board posters on who should be our starter.
Thats the point most posters on here miss. He got OPOY for a reason, his stats have improved over time. There was a video by Matthew Downing that goes over everything about Colandrea and he puts it better than I can.Actually his turnovers were better last season. We also force fed Dowdell when EJ was clearly the better back. Matt Rhule is terrible at getting the best players on the field.IDGAF who they are paying the money to. They damn well better play whoever gives the team the best chance to win.
Honestly I don't think Rhule has the luxury to play favorites. Its about now or never time.
I understand where the money is going and for that alone I think AC will have to play himself out of the starting lineup. But he WILL have to lose it.
That said I think they kept putting Simms out there when he looked like baby dog doo doo his first year so who knows lol.
Holla
Dana says Danny has the best completion percentage. But Rhule gave colandrea his personal money so won’t play the bestI guess I have to trust Dana over random Husker board posters on who should be our starter.
This one paid with Rhules personal moneyWe have never had a qb competition under Rhule
every winter, the job has been promised
this year is no different
I like Kaelin’s physical skillset. If we would need to go to him at some point I would actually be more comfortable with him than Lateef. That said, Coleandra’s run threat is a big deal.

Who's everyone? Please provide some context to baxk up your point otherwise it's just your opinion which is totally fine and you're entitled to haveEveryone says otherwise
And had he not got injured we beat usc. Finish top 20Dylan had a pretty good completion percentage too..
I don't know if the first sentence is correct, but I agree wholeheartedly with the second sentence. Judging by the results we've had I am sure that has happened at least a few times.Has looked better in all the practices and drills. We should not play a player just because they are getting more NIL money.
What does that prove though? Dana complimenting Kaelin on his completion percentage is a nice thing to say. But we've all seen guys take sacks, pass up opportunities to throw down field and throw easy check downs.Everyone knows he has completed the most passes in camp
They don’t call him Danny Dimes for nothing. What does that prove though? Dana complimenting Kaelin on his completion percentage is a nice thing to say. But we've all seen guys take sacks, pass up opportunities to throw down field and throw easy check downs.

I liked Danny and glad he came back. But those contests he was winning was when the bullets weren’t flying around him .![]()
Accuracy trophy helps Nebraska QB commit Danny Kaelin earn Elite 11 honors
Nebraska quarterback commit Danny Kaelin won Elite 11 quarterback honors on Saturdayhuskerextra.com
"In the accuracy test, quarterbacks are given a variety of throws – a curl, comeback, a deep post, other routes – and a target to hit. Quarterbacks get bonus points for throwing the ball through a hole in the target, Kaelin said.
He said he won the competition on several deep post throws toward the end of his circuit.
“I hit the targets on those so that definitely helped give me the lead,” Kaelin said. “I think my accuracy is definitely one of my best attributes as a passer, so I was happy to put that on display and come out with the victory.”"
He's also been accurate, he won the Elite 11 accuracy portion his year.
