So Mitch McConnell (aka Senator Turtlehead, aka Moscow Mitch, aka The Dead Guy) has now gone TWO FULL MONTHS since being hauled off in an ambulance following a heart attack and having electric paddles applied to restart his heart.

Huey, you're shirking your job here, dude! You need to resume the daily posts of "no new news" on poor, dead Mitch.

Looks like there will be no special election for Mitch's seat. So mission accomplished, Kentucky Repugnicants, in keeping Tom Massie from running in a special election (as if he was ever gonna be elected). It looks like we will simply have to wait until November to see who wins the smackdown between Democrat Charles Booker and Republican Andy Barr. I don't know much about either of these two candidates, but I DO know that Andy Bar has been silent as the grave (pun intended) whenever asked about Mitch McConnell. Well, not quite. Barr DID claim to have spoken with The Dead Guy in late July after having previously stated that they texted. So he joins John Thune, John Barrasso, and Scott Jennings in reporting that they had substantive discussions with Senator Room Temperature. But who knows? Maybe they used a ouija board. (Or as Hermy would put it, a "weegy board,") In any event, I don't think it matters, because Booker is African American and this is Kentucky we're talking about. Think pointy white hats for days.

Republicans called out for 'lies' over missing Mitch McConnell

Andy Beshear is the one to truly blame. He sent a few stern letters. Why are Democrats always such pvssies?

Beshear probably played it right. Sure he could have rolled the dice and tried to get a Massie in there, but you had better believe Trump and all the Republicans would have done everything they could to stop him.

And even Massie somehow won he would have had to run again and MAGA would have run him down again.

Meanwhile by doing nothing he ensures the Rs are down a Senator until January.

Absent a corpse, I still don't know what lever Beshear could have pulled? Order a state trooper to track Mitch down and put a mirror over his mouth to see if it fogs up?

The GOP controls the Senate, so they would not have seated anyone who Beshear appointed. The GOP also controls the Kentucky legislature, so Beshear had no great options there, either. I like the simple fact that Beshear called attention to this ongoing disaster, which is entirely of The Dead Guy's and the GOP Senate caucus' making. You have to wonder if we are gonna hear anything from The Dead Guy prior to January 2027, when his successor will take over for sure.

Mitch will go down as one of the worst, if not the worst, Senator in United States history. Scumbag Senator. Scumbag human being.
He had a created an exceedingly crappy legacy for himself before all of this, somehow managing to make himself a pariah to both Democrats and the oh-so-forgetful MAGA crowd (aka current day Republicans). This "Weekend at Bernie's" end to his Senate career (and life) is just the cherry on top of that shiat sundae.

What a vicious assault by that Lib protestor! You all saw it!! She assaulted him!!
My initial impulse on watching that video is to feel sympathy for the old guy. But then I remember that he doesn't need to be there. He could have retired at any time he chose. Now, he probably lacks the mental competence to do even that.

I also remember what an ******* he has been - for years.

I'd vote for Robert Byrd for that award, but apparently you prefer the Klan and the guy who fillibustered the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Nope. Mitch is still worse. He gave Trump power to do whatever he wants. And that pedophile is taking full advantage.
