Watched the first episode last night. As always, just good popcorn fodder...unrealistic, over-the-top, and cheesey at times. I'm In!

One of the very few Reacher books I haven't read is being adapted this season. Haven't watched this episode yet, but sort of looking forward to watching not knowing what is going to happen this time.

on episode three. A few things.

Better than last season so far.
Reacher never lifts and somehow stays ripped.

he must smell like a bums nutsack. Had a chance to shower at hotel and just wiped himself with rag. Then his stinky *** slams hot big tit Asian lady.

They have a guy that attacked them at an apartment and never ask him any questions. Just got tie him while he’s asleep and leave him.

Nutty reporter plays the exact same role the same actor played in Goliath.

No one ever says good bye on phone calls.

that’s all I got.

I'm having my first quibble regarding this season. Why do we care if a Delta Force team trained the Indonesian military, resulting in Indonesian civilians being tortured? I mean I'm not a supporter of torture, but we know that the US govt does shady **** all over the world. Would I lose my life investigating this potential "crime by the US govt"?

I enjoyed season 1, but honestly I tried watching season 2 a couple of times and just couldn't get through it... Does it pick up at all?

Finished Reacher last night.

For an over-the-top series (like the Fast and Furious series), they got dumb at the end. Amisha falls out a window onto her back on the street, then shows up at the end? Come on. I'm fine with Foster showing up at the end...just have Justin shoot him, not Amisha. Oh well, enjoyed the popcorn action nontheless.

Anyone watching the Neagly spinoff? I'm on Ep3. Pretty good so far.

Have you read the Reacher books? I have all of them and wish movies/series could be as good. With that said they are doing a pretty good job.

Yeah, that one was a head scratcher. Slipping over into Halloween territory. Seems like you should always make sure the dead person is dead, right?

I loved the books. I also think the series is more in line with the books because Ritchson is a better fit than Cruise for the role.

Just picked back up after the explosion. It just kept getting dumber and dumber. Damn.

Also there’s never been a worse character than the small town cop. Sad.

Exactly. Season 1 was excellent. After that it's been pretty trashy with over-the top-violence and attitude, and little intelligence.

Which hasn't kept me from watching all the seasons, but I only recommend season 1 to anyone whose opinion of me I value.

I binged Neagley in 2 days. Not as good as Reacher season 1, but better than the subsequent seasons (so far).

To be fair, the love interest in season 2 was a total smoke show!

The peak of stupidity was him getting sliced about 20 times then struggling with the 80 pound girl trying to put a needle in him as if she was a 300 lb. arm wrestler.

For me: 1>>>3>2>4

And funny enough, those are the order I'd put their books in as well. So far they've mostly not done my favorite books (other than The Killing Floor in season one).

The book they've talked about doing next was a good, but ultimately dark one, so interested to see how that goes.

Haven't read the books, but have watched the movie and the series. I did read an internet "synopsis" of the plot of the book on which this season was based and it seemed like, for the series, they ran out of ideas/didn't have enough material to work with to make this a full season. Don't know if that's because they skipped over a lot of character development or other plot points ... but it seemed like they could have finished this one up in 5 or 6 episodes and, instead, they tried to make it longer by coming up with more and more improbable situations and fights.
