They were heartbreakers for sure. I don’t agree with deserving because I don’t want to take away from those other teams. Now, if it was JK or Clinton, I wouldn’t careView attachment 1390809

Does Midway really have the talent though? What makes you think they win the conference?
Offensively they definitely have the talent. Can score with anyone in 3a/ 4a. Problem is defense. If they can make improvements on that side of the ball they could take conference. That’s not my pick but could upset JK, WRH
Hopefully I'll be able to stay and watch Midway tomorrow night, they scrimmage Southern Wayne after our scrimmage against Clinton. How did Wallace do Tuesday night?
4-0 in game part of scrimmage. A lot of subbing on offense so can’t tell a whole lot. On defense we’re are better than the past
Younger than we were last year but we have a lot of talent. Should be just as fast, maybe faster. Gonna have to grow up quick with East Duplin and Southern Nash early in season.
I think it all depends on how fast these guys grow up, we have 8 or 9 first time starters on both sides of the ball. We had a kid that played varsity last year as a sophomore, he was in a bad accident a few months ago. He was going to start on offense and defense, he's going to be missed. He was going to play a big role for us. He's doing better each day, he may be able to dress out near the end of the season. With him the answer would be yes, but without him it'll depend on how quick we will grow up.
Good insight. Seems like defense is a premium in the Swine Valley conference and 3A at large. Every kid wants to just score and rack up stats/highlights.
our DOGS had a great night tonight against New Hanover. Offense did good but had 2 turnovers. Looks very solid. Got East Duplin Friday. I think they’ll play better against us than they did against Hoggard tonight.
We had Clinton tonight, we played ok. We fumbled two or three times, once going in the end zone. Defense was solid, shut them out 14-0. Still a lot of work to do.
We should, SW might be a year or two away from being decent. They have a jv squad this year, so that's definitely heading in the right direction.
