Fact:

It appears to be a big deal. The comedian has seen a meteoric rise in popularity due to his self-deprecation and funny takes. His comedy is clean so families are able to all enjoy his jokes together.

Starkville could use some comedy shows. Hattiesburg seems to be a hotspot for comedy shows so there is no reason why Starkville can’t try to latch onto that as well.

One thing we can all agree on is that this world could use more humor as well. Having a good variety of entertainment in town is not a bad thing.

You can click unsubscribe at the bottom and it takes you to a page where you can tell it you don't want "Event" info, or "Concert" info, etc and which sports or events you do want.

I’ve sold your contact info to three porn sites, a Chinese ED drug manufacturer, two shower restoration companies, and a Nigerian prince just this morning. Easiest $1.37 I’ve ever made.

Yes, it's big. A major get.

We should be very pleased to have Nate on campus. I hope we make the most of it and find some way to make his experience here extraordinarily great. Someone should take ownership of finding out how he was treated elsewhere and finding a way to 10X the experience. Do not cheap out or "good enough" this opportunity. Having him as a positive advocate for State would have a big ROI for the University and for Starkville.

Is the athletic dept involved because part of tix sales will go to athletics somehow?
Yes, shows like this have to pay the athletic department to use the Hump/DWS/Dudy Noble.

They could do this by paying rent or sharing food & drink revenue, or other ways. Either way, it's a win for the athletic department and State as a whole.

You may have missed my many diatribes on this and similar topics over the years, but it's about 17'ing time we did stuff like this.

Cheers used to have comedy night every Tuesday around '99/2000. It was good always a good time.

We did a great job with Portnoy and Barstool last football season. We should do even better for Bargatze.

Caught him a couple of times years ago including one where he was on the cusp of stardom. He was in the zone and every joke and story landed. He's a Vandy fan, btw.

Last year, I went to the Boys of Oklahoma Texas Encore show at McLane Stadium.

Baylor Sports is not the reason why I gave their Athletic Department my contact info **

But if that Willie Nelson show (former Baylor student) was at a better time for me, I’d have definitely been there…

Ok.....I see who the fella is now, and love the George Washington SNL skit........the fella is obviously on a big tour, and will be in Oxford a few days prior......allow me to play my old card, and simply state how annoying it is to get that many emails in a few days from athletic department for a comedy concert

old, grumpy, and stubborn
