Any update on the Oscar Smith Green Run and Dinwiddie scrimmage?

Really disappointed about the lack of information from schools regarding scrimmages. They have zero idea about how to build their brands. No dogs in the fight for the three teams you mentioned. But I saw a scrimmage thread and thought I would add my two cents.

Something I find odd about this. The VHSL Handbook actually tells schools not to publicly advertise scrimmages nor to invite the media.

I have no clue as to why.

What a laughable policy. And I’m literally laughing at whatever the reason is as to why the VHSL decided to pick this particular topic to issue guidance on.

I could see if individual schools wanted to keep quiet about it because I can relate that to some Olympic Sports in colleges and even D-I Basketball teams who act paranoid for the sake of being paranoid.

Good video of the game! Any insight on the other Richmond teams? Particularly Benedictine? I know it’s only a scrimmage so won’t think too much of it but did they handle River pretty soundly?

Indian river played against Trinity, from what I heard it sound like Trinity dominated them

Hopewell and Benedictine scrimmage was very interesting. Hopewell has a very good team, alot of athletes. They've a freshman quarterback who one of the top freshman in the state, 6'2 210 big kid and at running back and receivers are really good. They went toe to toe with Benedictine who's a top team private schools. Hopewell opens 9/27 @ home against Highland springs. Good test to see how good they're.
