When did it come out last year? I feel like it definitely was released later than most.

He also mentioned that the season will open with us hosting an invitational tournament on Nov 1st. I believe he also said the rest of the schedule will be out tomorrow.

What's the deal with V-Tech? That was the one duel that had me excited for our home schedule.
I had thought they would be on the schedule too. I know they are in national duals so we might see them there but I wanted that matchup in Stillwater.
Pretty crappy schedule. No return from VT. No premier conf dual. Less home duals overall and the prices went up.
Drexel? We couldn’t get VT, NC State or North Carolina? Wonder if that was the date he saved for Penn State and since they aren’t interested we got stuck with Drexel? Should have tried to schedule Lehigh. So Nebraska will be the big home dual along with NDI. Mizzou isn’t what they used to be. Tickets for that Nebraska dual are going to be hard to find if you don’t have season tickets.
Scheduling isn't easy . Also you can't wrestle top 20 teams in every dual. Drexel is at home so it wasn't a date he saved for Penn st

from what I understand, we’re basing our scheduling off of looks and limiting matchups with teams that we may see at NDI. That’s some beta bs imo. We went from talking about anyone anytime and always wanting to compete against the best to cancelling VT’s return trip
It’s way too early for this kind of strategy and the fan support and donor support will undoubtedly take a hit. It’ll be small because it’s still an exciting time but the record breaking home duals and skyrocketing support from the bottom half will taper off
So Robie should be saying we will save a date for Oklahoma st every year
. Maybe they can make a Beta Boys page . Ok now it's time to be serious. Coaches HATE national duals for that exact reason because they don't like not knowing who they will dual. The anyone anytime anywhere statements are all BS from coaches . Coaches want to control everything and a tournament like that doesn't allow for it . Ask Pop how it is getting teams together for duals at his events. Everyone has a list of teams they won't wrestle because they already dual .
He mis-spoke. Dates wouldn't match up and we Wrestle them at NDI's anyway. Not sure what dates couldn't match up or how hard it was chased?
I do agree that this can impact fan support and possibly show a regression to the AD? But, scheduling is hard. We will still have uO and Iowa in the same year, so those schedule seasons will see a bolster of excitement.
If I were the scheduler, I don't know how I would get it done? I am sure there are several schools that don't want to Wrestle in GIA, which makes it even tougher to schedule.
You wrestle them at NDI? How is that a guarantee ?

Don't be mistaken, I am not pleased with this schedule. I also don't blame anybody. Scheduling is difficult...I can barely get scrimmages for 2nd grade flag football scheduled.
Wrestling scheduling is a nightmare people don't realize it. And the best teams have a hard time getting teams to wrestle you at home . Most fans don't know that even in wrestling teams will pay others to come and wrestle them .
I mean nothing’s guaranteed but I feel like OSU and VT are pretty clearly the two best teams in NDIYou wrestle them at NDI? How is that a guarantee ?
It's a quad? The word invitational was used that usually means it will be a bracketed individual tournament

We have Nebraska and Iowa on the schedule and tried to get Penn State, plus Ohio State or Virginia Tech at NDI and who knows who else.You wrestle them at NDI? How is that a guarantee ?
Oklahoma State had the toughest dual schedule last year and we will have the toughest schedule this year.
The rub is that the home slate is pretty much booger. If they would've released the schedule prior to season ticket renewal, it wouldn't have sold out. I will bet that carries through to next renewal as well.
Again, I don't think this was intentional and could possibly be unavoidable...so it is what it is. If a guy makes a D1 roster, he's no chump.
Will you volunteer to kick DT in the shin for us ... or maybe at least JK if you are scared of DT? I hear you are fast so should be able to get away with it.
The toughest not sure about that but definitely one of the toughest. They had Iowa twice last year and Nebraska twice . So why not schedule VA tech even if you get them twice? The NDI is now cheating the fans out of another good home dual on the schedule
I guess you could listen to today’s FRL at the 18:00 mark you can hear some unbiased rankings on dual schedule. Even the almighty Corby would be surprised, just when we thought he knew everything.
I don't listen to many podcasts what was said? They will have a top 3 schedule this year for sure. But wrestling va tech maybe twice would make it even better

Asked and maybe answered but I didn’t see it, did WE cancel VT?
I would've thought that we had an away/home deal with both Nebraska and V-tech. The problem may be that the change in NDI to December messed up the scheduling to allow both to work.
Wonder is OU would move match to PayCom or Llyod Noble to allow for a bigger crowd?
I’ve seen no evidence of this, or if it was even a home/home contract last year. Just some yapping by Corby.
