Really? I was there a few years back for a cheer comp. What makes it a great place for a game?
I think I like the stadium itself, how its set apart. Seating was plentiful for a major event. That said, no facility I've been to compares to New Trier, they outdid themselves
I feel like I grew up in the mecca of HS gyms - East Aurora.
I like Aurora East too, but getting in and out of the facility is a nightmare. I love that they have that section on the baseline for the old timers.
Yeah, That's a struggle. The Old Timers are getting a little thin too. There's a couple of social clubs nearby, where they hang out before and after the games. Those guys are some of Aurora's best.
Hopefully some of the new old timers show up. They always host in the playoffs so I've seen some good games in that gym. We played West Aurora there one year i think it was sectionals
A sectional championship game @ East Aurora is as good as it gets for HS hoops.
Basically just means the contractor is now doing the job for free.
There has to be insurance on that. I hope the policy covers the flooring. Districts would have to demand that in the bid spec.
Contractor is responsible for all their work and their GL policy will cover all this damage.

I'm always surprised when they are not hosting the sectional. For a long time they hosted the Sectional and a different Super-Sectional. From about 2005-2010, I went to a ridiculous amount of HS basketball games. Watched Brook, with Will Walker, beat EA in the Christmas tournament what seemed like 10 years in a row.
I would imagine a school with 90% hispanic students is going to have a drop off in talent throughout its basketball program. You won't meet a better person than Tyrone Savage who has been involved in EA basketball since the 80's. That being said the ROTC program is elite and the football team made the playoffs for the first time since 1982 a few years back. The violence and gang problem is significantly reduced as well.
