This era of professional college players is bizarre. And I'm not talking about players being paid, though that's obviously a part of it, but guys like Clark (and his teammates RJ Luis and Mo Dioubate) who are milking the college game for all it's worth because they'll never make as much as a pro and jumping from highest bidder to highest bidder.

The consequences of the NCAA refusing to acknowledge the economic realities around their 2 moneymaking sports for decades has been the complete destruction of the NCAA as a rulemaking body. All they are now is an entity that has an enormous TV deal for the D1 Men's basketball tournament.

I saw some posts on X this week claiming LSU only had 4 players (Pre Clark) and the author recanted and said LSU was fine. I think they haven't officially announced their foreign players yet

Wade’s pushing the envelope and trying to force the NCAA to either step in and stop him or he’s just gonna keep showing flaws in the system. Not agreeing with any of it, but he’s definitely giving the NCAA hell

Even nuttier is that people no longer even see this sort of thing as weird. Not long ago it would’ve seemed INSANE and triggered red flag warnings that the kid was toxic. But now it just seems normal (even at the HS level) for kids to put themselves on the market for a new team every year.

The concept of loyalty to one school/place is wholly lost on today’s generation.
