OT - Sitake references PSU resource level as he begs for more NIL money

He fell for it... didn't get it in writing but for the "promise" of more money.... most likely see coaches getting their contracts updated now with guaranteed money for them and the program. If the university doesn't provide the cash they can opt out of their contracts.

It really is an example of karma. He verbally accepted the PSU offer and Krafty ran with it without a signature. He then accepted BYU’s verbal promise of more resources.

So it was all her hiring Campbell and Kraft just did what she said? Is that the story? I am not an alumnus of PSU so I don't follow whomever their prez is. I am a big fan of the football program so whatever she can do to keep that juggernaut rolling then I'm all for it.

Tgar may have much better insight but per insider sources I read Neeli was heavily involved as Neeli was getting serious heat from donors and alums after the then national news Sitake embarrassment. Out of desperation Kraft reproached Tommy Rees and Daboll after losing Sitake (vomit!) as actual candidates while flirting with Chesney. Tgar may know better but it seems like individuals such as Blackledge and others connected Campbell to PSU and Neeli. The other story was Kraft tried to reach out to Campbell early in the process and never heard back because of incorrect contact info for the agent. Again, perhaps others like tgar have better info. What is 100% was that it was 100% Matt Rhule until Nebraska lost to Minnesota.

If this inside info is accurate then it certainly puts Krafy in a negative light. I thought it was more message board dumping on Kraft but no real truth to it. But if these stories come from trusted sources then there would be some legitimacy to them.

I'm glad Blackledge had influence in the process (if true). He is Penn State football royalty and knows what we need as in a more physically tough and mentally tough football team.

Thanks for confirming that. Yeah, you start learning what sources are accurate online, particularly posters on certain forums. And there are true insider sources out there that have been proven to me to be the real deal. There’s one forum out there with a message thread that was created by a donor with insider access that was asked by the powers that be to take the entire message thread down. It was freaking fascinating about the inner $$ workings of PSU. But in regards to Kraft, he’s overall better than Sandy, particularly at fundraising, but nearly took the football program backwards with the disastrous coaching search.
