Deserved it. If you’re gonna rub someone’s face in the mat, you better face up and be ready for the fight.
Micheal White wrestled for Team Shutt this weekend for National duals and won 9 matches out of 9. Most matches he was dominant, but a couple matches he seemed to struggle but still won and 1 match he got ridden the 90 seconds 2nd period and could not stand up. Still impressive and I am glad he got this experience.

All the matches were 90 second periods. The guy who rode him was Alex Reyes, a Rutgers commit. Reyes was previously ranked nationally by Flo at 190 and was on their big board. Maybe he took some losses that knocked him off, idk.

Reyes lost 3-2 to Carl Betz (#5 nationally at 190 lbs) in the NJ state semis and rode him out in the 2nd period. If it were college rules, he'd have gotten a RT point and it would've been 3-3 going to OT. Mikey dominated Reyes in neutral and won by major 11-3 (in a 4.5 minute match).

His only close match was 3-1 against Caige Horak. I don't know anything about him except he's a Pitt commit. I watched the match and Horak stalled like crazy. Mikey got a takedown 30 seconds into the match and after that Horak sat on a knee and scooted backward to the edge the rest of the time and the ref allowed it.

Mikey continues to impress, but he'll of course need some work, especially on top/bottom.

I haven’t seen Mikey appear in the Stilly Boy videos? Does anyone know if he’s been in our room preparing for this weekend?

Indiana must run on a similar schedule to what we have down here in Texas. 2 of my sisters work for the local school district and Friday was their last day with students
Not that it matters…but Seattle Public school won’t finish until June 17,2026

OU just got Paddy Gallagher as a transfer today.
Looks like their lineup will be
125: Sebastian DeGennaro or Conrad Hendriksen
133: Tyler Wells
141: Isaiah Powe
149: Jack Gioffre
157: Rafael Hipolito
165: Gallagher
174: Tyler Eise
184: Brian Soldano
197: Jersey Robb
HWT: Bradley Hill

honestly this is probably their best lineup in a while. Still going to lose Bedlam 60-0 tho 🤠

That would be 9 transfer starters🤷 Solid dual team. Could see everyone get into the top 20 at some point in the season. 141 Braun and Powe will battle .

Timeline?
Chad is going to expect ROI and how patient will he be?
There is already tons of ROI. The fans/Program want 35, Chad wants spotlight on Wrestling in Oklahoma. That has been accomplished in spades and is gaining momentum.

The ultimate ROI for CR is that Oklahoma is the new Pennsylvania. Kids move here to train/school. Big events are commonplace (Who's #1) such as US Opens, Final X's, NCAA Championships, RAF, etc. are the targets. Wrestling in Oklahoma is the ROI and everybody that loves the sport should be grateful for that man, even if he stopped now...which he hasn't.

We'll see.

Is he pushing the Sooners, as well?

The word in Stillwater is there are several young wrestlers who have moved in for wrestling. I visited with Coleman last week and he knows of 3 families who are training at the Farm. The high school coach is excited about a couple of move-ins. He said one would win state next year but he is just going into 8th grade this year.

Yes, Coleman is doing some cool stuff...good stuff. I hope everything is all good with him!

I think OU already has a better roster than they did last year and keep working to make it better.
I thought their roster looked like the best it had in a long time this time last year too. Didn't matter. Something isn't working down there and it has stretched over multiple coaching staffs.

Eh they’ve been bad for so long it takes most schools a while to build back up. Also they had 2 or 3 would be starters go down with injury before the season started that are back this year.
