My dear brother here hasn't a clue that the tectonic plates of American politics has shifted and he is standing on the most ridiculous ground any current candidate can stand on.

Not even Republicans are campaigning on promoting venture capitalists in 2026.

Who is advising him? James Carville? ROFL

The WI democratic party is doing everything they can to stop Hong. Crowley already dropped out when they hatched a plan for him to re-enter w the retiring governor's(Evers) support, after he said he wasn't going to endorse any candidates. Evers has also said Hong will lose in the general election.

Wow, I was shocked when Mandela Barnes didn't get the nomination but maybe this is the reason.

" I discovered something interesting today.

I keep hearing Francesca Hong is running some innovative campaign where she isn’t spending money on TV and it’s working like a charm. This confused me because I have family in Wisconsin and I know for a fact there are tons of Francesca Hong ads on TV - there actually seem to be more ads for her than any of her opponents. So I thought "gee, if Hong isn’t spending money on TV and the Democratic Establishment hates her, who is paying for all this ad time?”

A lot of Hong’s direct TV advertising came from a super pac called Middle Class Priorities. Middle Class Priorities only has one donor, Progressive Prosperity Caucus, Inc. And what is Progressive Prosperity Caucus, Inc? A fake GOP slush fund run by Republican operatives that’s spent millions of dollars getting leftists nominated in swing districts. Most leftists who have won swing district primaries are being funded by the GOP btw, that’s why so many of them claim they won despite being outspent. William Lawrence had massive Super PAC support from an organization called Michigan Sunrise that came out of nowhere and conveniently timed its inception so it did not have to disclose its donors until after the election

On top of that, another Republican Super PAC spent 2.2 million dollars “attacking” Francesca Hong starting in early July. That’s weird - why would you waste money attacking a candidate who was barely leading in the polls at the time in a crowded primary? Because their “attack ads” only ran in extremely Democratic areas like Dane County and they were all about how you shouldn’t vote for Francesca Hong because she opposes Trump’s immigration agenda.

They were fake attack ads meant to improve her standing with Democratic Primary voters. Francesca Hong’s spike in support happened in mid-July, at the exact same time a GOP Super PAC launched an ad campaign meant to make Democratic Primary voters think the Republicans are scared Francesca Hong will stop their immigration priorities

The Republicans have spent more money on TV advertising for Francesca Hong than every Democratic candidate has spent combined. Literally her entire TV footprint is Republican Super PACs. She currently has zero dollars of her own television ad buys lined up, has spent zero dollars on TV ads the entire campaign, has no support from outside money that isn’t a Republican psyop, has one-tenth of Tom Tiffany’s cash on hand, and can’t receive support from the DNC because the party is broke

People are underestimating what a blood bath this is going to be. She’s already behind in the polls and the second the primary is over every penny of Francesca Hong’s TV advertising disappears and the GOP will spend tens of millions of dollars on ads about how she’s a radical police abolitionist who hates Valentine’s Day, is grotesquely obsessed with her son’s ethnic heritage, and pals around with a guy who said America deserves 9/11. There will be no response to these ads because Hong doesn’t have any money for ad buys and all of her Super PAC support came from Peter Thiel"

Hey dickpic…..better not b!tch out of the bet you made that this racist nutjob will win Wisconsin.

If so, you better leave the board for good as I will never let you live it down.

Let me get this straight, I've been a paid member to MY own team's board for 21 years and your freeloading outsider *** is going to run me off my own board? Let me know how that works out for you dipshit because if push comes to shove, it won't be me that has to leave, that I can promise you. A trash poster like you will not be missed and most of the board would be appreciative.

But the threat of you calling me a tranny-loving libtard sure is scary!

Of course that threat doesn’t scare you…..you are a tranny-loving libtard!

I’ll just remind everyone else that you’re a pu$$y who backs out of bets once you realize you’ll lose. Ultimate b!tch move.

Reminder Pedo - I agreed to the bet under ONE simple, easy to follow condition, that he not insult anyone on the board with his favorite word for 30 days. What could be easier than that?

Democrats do this too but this one is stranger because she literally had no funding other than these Republican pacs who are turning on her now that she's the favorite. Wild stuff.

It's over, it's done and what I do is none of your f'in business. You're not someone I would ever choose to interact with nor does the majority of the board because you suck. Now go back to your board and stay there.

I admit, Dems are probably lucky Hong lost. Her poor messaging aside, having no money was going to be a major problem. I am happy, at least, that Republicans wasted $4 million trying to get her elected. F ck the GOP.
oh no!

"look at what this woman said about thanksgiving 6 years ago!" seemed to be one of the GOP's key 2026 campaign messages...now that's out the window

will they?

i'm assuming they just call this guy a communist and connect him to DSA - that seems to be their only real message at this point.
In fairness if Hong had won the primary I think that message would have worked. I don’t think it will work now but MAGA is going to go down swinging anyway.

Sure, But Hong embraced the DSA label and the DSA policies include some very far left radical ideas that would not be palatable to a mainstream voter. That is an easy correlation for the GOP to make because there is at least a modicum of truth to it.

Poly market gives the Dems a 77% chance of winning the general now. Rs will have figure out some brand new line of BS.

The GOP nominee is a terrible candidate. He's easily picked apart by Dems. Hong was already killing him when she stuck to policy talk. But he's who Trump handpicked, so there was no chance of getting a sane opponent.

The real problem was she had unworkable viewpoints and associated herself with the DSA.

Kind of like how I feel about MAGA politicians😜

Anyway, I am glad she lost.

For all intensive purposes, she got the same number of votes as Crowley. He better recognize that or he'll lose those voters in the general.

Her biggest problem, imo, was her inability to raise money. She didn't even runs tv ads her last two weeks. That is terrible campaigning.

My guess is he will pick up far more independent moderate types than he will lose from the socialist wing of the Democratic Party.

But that is just a guess and I’m admittedly not very tied into Wisconsin voting trends/affiliations other than it is a relatively purple state.

That is probably a fair criticism in general. I tend to get surprised by these societal spikes towards more polarizing views. But I don’t think most people want the DSA platform either so I think progressive Dems are under-estimating just how crazy the DSA stuff comes across to those of us with moderate views.

I am (or maybe was) on the “anyone but Trump” train and like to believe my anti-MAGA/Trump/Fascism credentials are solid. But had I lived in Wisconsin I simply could not have voted Hong in the general election. I would have been forced to vote third party or write in. And if I felt that way I guarantee there would be many anti-Trumpers who would sit it out.
