Is the on3 ad-blocker billboard ad getting more aggressive?

Anyone else noticed a change? I feel like it's popping up in my face before every post I click on now. Much more often than it used to.

I guess it's trying to wear me down. I would remove adblockers if I knew how, just to shut this 17'ing thing up. So I guess its new tactics are working.

Yep every different screen that the site changes to now has it, and Brave nor Opera are allowed on my work computer per the IT Dept.

It used to only be on the main page but now it pops up in threads.

Also, how well do ads really work? I tend to avoid purchasing products from companies that annoy me.

Yes, been that way for at least a week. You only get to see one post.

I tried Brave, but the banners literally take up over half the page. So that browser blocks ads for the most part, but lets other things through.

I also just noticed something else (maybe a one-off, but may not be either).

Using "Reply", it replies to another reply using Safari on my laptop. For instance, the by Chesusdog who said he's annoyed by the ads and he tends to shop elsewhere, replying to that doesn't work, but instead lets you reply to the one that Dawgstudent says he'll take it up with ON3.

I doubt they'll fix it. After all, that's how they make money.

Do you have to pay them to be have an ON3 board?
No. I don't have to pay anything which wasn't the case when we hosted our own solution. It was around $2000/year plus the headache of me handling all IT issues.

I can leave On3 whenever I want or they can terminate the relationship - proper warning needed on both sides. It's worth it for now for me not to have to deal with it all and remain with On3. Only thing I don't get to do is make changes when I think of stuff (like upvote/downvote, countdown slogan, etc).
