My a$$ got volunteered by the wife for grill duty so I will be out there at 3:00, but my shift ends at 5:30 because I want to watch all the games, even that first one with BC/FV. We play FV on the 21st.
You hear anything on East Lincoln? Surely they handled West Lincoln / Saint lol
That's the least of their problems. They upgraded at QB. They will miss the rest of those seniors.

That's hard to believe, but it seemed Blee hit his peak early. His freshman performance against Dudley was crazy.
With week 1 behind us, I would venture Shelby, Lincolnton, Burns, and Cramer are still hopeful about their teams this season. With Burns seeing SP and the Storm having a great test against KM, I am looking forward to Friday.

Burns vs SP should be a good one. I expect Burns to do well just because our DL and LBs are really strong this year. DBs might be our only touch of weakness on that side of the ball. But overall our defense should be really strong. But against that option you just never know, it can kill great teams. We'll probably still be somewhat bland in what we do with Cramer watching.
Probably a lot of vanilla from all 4 teams in those games with you guys playing both us and KM and KM playing both you and SP. However I heard KM came out throwing it all over the yard in the CC jamboree. We also play FV week 1 so I know they will be watching as well.
Yeah I forgot about KM being there as well actually. So yeah we'll be pretty basic in whatever we run. I do hope our freshman QB (#12) gets more than 1 drive this week but we'll see with how SP can eat up the clock. We only got 4 drives against South Meck last week and he got 1 of them which ended in a TD. Will probably only see Max for a few plays as well. You'll see plenty of him come Week 7 though just as I'm sure we'll see plenty of Mr. Hawkins in that game. Lol

Oh yeah we know Agent 0 will get the ball a bunch as well as you know Q is our guy on offense that everyone will key on.
Honest question. Does Max have chronic injuries or is he load managed? He has seemed to have been held from several games in both baseball and football the last year. Hell of an athlete.
If you want to sit him on Oct 2 I will even chip in for a masseuse on the sideline to work him over during the game. He needs to be ready for that Cherryville matchup in 2 weeks!
He battled turf toe last year and missed quite a few weeks. Then baseball came and he pulled a hamstring. Historically he stays healthy. Just had some bad luck last year. Rumor has it he plans on fully participating Oct 2 with Cryo the next morning to cool him down from running like he’s mad at the grass.
I hope everyone from every team stays healthy all season. Prayers for everyone of the kids that go out there and play their hearts out for old men like us to have something to talk about and look forward to on Friday nights.
I also know Max will be there Oct 2nd. I mean why wouldn’t he. 5 TD’s last year and then 2 hr’s in the first inning of the playoff baseball game. He might be the one person who enjoys seeing Stuart Cramer take the field as much as I do.

All those games will be dog fights. I'm biased but I think we get Shelby this year. But either way no matter what happens I don't think anybody is gonna wanna play any of the 4 of us in November. In fact it wouldn't shock me at all the see Shelby & Lincolnton have to play in November and also Burns and Cramer have to play in November
Maybe even December like last year with Shelby and Lincolnton.
Max will be a threat to any team and now that he has made a name for himself other teams will key on stopping him. That works well for us because the minute they load the box we have some options. Wells, Ussery, Surratt, and Mckenzie to name a few are very explosive out in space. If we can utilize those then it can be a lot of fun to watch. There will be no better test to start the year than Crest and KM. Lincolnton, Shelby and SC will be big challenges in conference which all leads up to being prepared come playoff time.
You just worry about keeping your Ipad, Laptop and remote batteries charged so you don't miss a game. Burger King during 4 min left in the game misses you but at least you keep the potted meat and pickled cow toes in rotation at the local stop and shop.
I think Ussery will have a big year this year. Also think Chris Dawkins will be a sneaky good RB behind Max

Good player but the OL and defense were the story of that game and year. Def & ST accounted for 21 of those points (the kick return was like to the 6 technically as I remember and O punched it in but the play was made by ST there). Was a case of getting underestimated because of how inept the previous years game was... especially on the offensive side in '21.

What killed me is that he never took a solid hit all night. Slid, ran out of bounds, or scored on almost every run. I told my kid to run like that; instead, he'll get suplexed trying to get 1 more yard lol
He was a special player bro. What made it even better is the human being behind the pads. You will not find a better person or family. I coached at the youth level with his uncle which is the father of one our current RB's. Good people all around. Kujuan is a graduate student at Catawba this season which I would guess is his final year.
I am coming as well. I do not get the schedule change but either way I will get to see KM vs SC and finish with the Burns game against SP. I will possibly hear the BC game as I am headed to the truck.
I cannot confirm or deny but I figure we changed the schedule around just in case it gets delayed or storms cancel it later on that we are doing everything we can to get our scrimmage in (having that ability being the host team). Again I can’t confirm or deny that. However I am 99% confirm!!!!
