We love our guys, but we’re going to lose some sometimes. I think a lot of programs will. We’re also not the only one:
1)Jayden James from VTech to PSU
2)Sergio Vega from Cornell to Okie State
3)Harvey Ludington from ASU to IOWA

But it will happen to Iowa sometimes i.e. Bassett and now Amato. However, it doesn’t mean the end is near. Here is our projected lineups for the next 6 seasons through 2032 to show that losing Amato doesn’t hurt us at all. This is only with current starters and 2026/2027/2028 recruits. Not including any transfers or current backups who might breakout. It wasn’t long ago when Block was Parco’s backup and then came out and AA’ed his first full season.

I put year of eligibility they’re using in place of Fr, So, Jr, and Sr because new 5/5 rules.

Depending on how the recruits put on weights, our first “hole” might not be until the 2029-2030 season when we need to replace Angelo Ferrari… 4 season from now. We’re at least full for 2 seasons.

Again, not saying we shouldn’t recruit over some guys at certain weight either with incoming freshman or with transfer portal if we can. Just saying if we got a decommit once in a while, we shouldn’t freak out…

Lots of good work put into this so I'm not nit picking but doesn't Schubert have 3 years left?? He RS at Cal Poly; 1st year at Oklahoma was a Med RS was it not? then last year counted. I know you already know Vega was Cornell (point made a couple times on the other thread).

I’m not sure about the medical, but if he gets one back then even better!! Maybe he’ll go back to 174 in the 2028-2029 season.
So many options!

Love the Brands. I don’t think fresh blood would be bad, but also I don’t know any high level candidates who would realistically take the job. So until suitable replacements are made, go Brands Bros!

Man, there is a lot of points hinging on Bailey getting healthy, Block, and Williams heart.

I hope Block jumps the level everyone has been hoping, but holding the weight is tough and who knows what 157 is going to be. It feels like 157 is a wait and see what PSU does.

I'd be happy with one champ, another finalist, 4 more top 6s and a couple more AAs. That's a champ and a total of 8 AAs. That would be impressive given this lineup IMO. I've still got to see Schubert and Ludington make some noise before I'm sold on their ability to AA this year.

exactly. I dont donate large sums of money to a coach. I have only supported the program for 30 years via season tickets and HWC donations. Im a nobody.

With us or against us. That mindset has paid dividends for 16 years.
