Unhinged comment. Dylan had 31 TDs and nearly 5000 yards passing at NU with a 70 completion % as a true freshman and sophomore at NU while having multiple OCs in his freshman year and breaking his leg in his sophomore year. HB was 1-10 passing at Nebraska. He completed one pass. Absolutely insane.

Nebraska is so bad, the coaching staff so incompetent that a kid looking to make 2-4 million, break all sorts of records at his dad's alma mater is willing to leave for much less money, to sit as a backup on a good and competent program. This is an indictment of the leadership of NU not the 20 year old who was going to break many records at NU.

The truth will likely come out this year and he will just be a canary illuminating a future collapse like Wandale was...when talented people leave you are in trouble.

I don't remember Dom when he was 18 and leading a team of grown men, and incompetent coaches. Nebraska's 2023 offense was one of the worst in history and he had to walk in as a true freshman and take that on. He had Satt as an OC, his uncle as an oline coach. He performed admirably publicly, in the media, and on the field considering. I never expected him to last more than two years. If everything went perfect he would have been drafted, if everything didn't go perfect he would transfer to try to win something and get better coaching. It was always going to be the latter and we all knew it. He was actually one of the few top qbs to even return to their team after one season, which is pretty impressive.

It doesn't change the fact that we got the best he had to offer, which was mediocre at best. For the program to improve we needed a change at QB, to part ways with his overbearing family, and to free up NIL money.

Overhyped and overrated 5 star high school player. He will last at Oregon about one year before moving on.
This overrating happens a lot, which calls into question some of these ratings. Often times what you are getting with a five star QB is a player who has already hit their ceiling in high school. And then they come into a P4 school with an inflated ego that does not match their actual talent.

There's still time... he has eligibility and now with 5 for 5 just think of the possibilities!

And I am not talking athletic talent. Just saw an interview with Coleandra where he was asked about UNLV. Said nothing negative. Had praise and appreciation for his former coach who he called a father figure. Spoke of how difficult it was to leave there. In other words, he said all the right things. He said the things a mature person says. What a humble and decent person says.

Compare that to Raiola’s immature smack talk about Nebraska cornfields and our lack of talent. Even if you think that, out of gratitude for the $millions we gave him and the love we showed him, he should have kept his mouth shut or just mouthed platitudes about being “grateful but it was time to move on”. He said the things instead that an arrogant and immature person says.
I also wonder if the Raiola family as a whole hasn’t poisoned the wells with bitterness. We did fire his uncle after all.

It's just kind of the way entitled young athletes think these days. They go to all of these camps which parents pay a fortune for. They are recruited now in JHS and HS and promised huge sums of money yet they totally lack mental maturity. I miss the days of the 70's, 80, 90's and even the early 2000's when college football was not controlled by huge sums of money to the coaches and now players. Indiana surprised everyone last year but realistic how many schools are able to compete for the NC? I say about 10 at most. Yeah I will watch some games this year but the first four of so games for each school are just warm ups. Watch the first half and then go do errands or go to bed.

They ran a little zone read option with him in that Polynesian all star game in Hawaii. He looked okay running the ball there. I was generally unimpressed by his passing in that game.
